Just on the announcer. Mark Warren (son of Rabbits) is a great improvement on the many previous pelicans. Hey, doesn't he sound just like his Dad ?
Ah, that's who it is! No wonder the voice sounded so alike.

Didn't he work in the UK calling games for a while?

Don't worry Bart and Fish, I've been reading the posts and this whole thread will be passed onto the board and Ozzy.
Cheers, thanks Sevens. This post had escaped me in scanning the thread tonight. My apologies for not realising that you had actually undertaken to do this. :thumn:

However I feel my replies to the later crap you posted in response to myself and MITS - including the one where you seem to say you are bailing from these forums - remain justified. Cheers.

The Sharks maybe as it is attached to the club, and they own the land on the other side of the creek as well ?

SFS is owned by SCG Trust.
ANZ is owned by ANZ Stadium Australia Managment
Parramatta Stadium by the Stadium Trust.
Canberra Stadium by the Institute for Sport
Brookvale and Campbelltown by The respective Councils
Dairy Farmer, Suncorp and Skilled are Owned by Events Queensland.
I don't know who owns Olympic Park or Mt Smart but I do know it is not the clubs.
I am quite sure Kograh is Council owned as is WIN. Energy Australia is owned by the NSW goverment but managed by the Knights.

This sounds like a conspiracy Mark....
All money is created out of thin air and this intellectual property is rented out at interest (a fee charged to the renters by the author/owner/copy-right-holder of this intellectual property) and TODAY we end up with private corporations, mostly government departments, now owning and controlling ALL the communities recreational/social facilities, the very communities who pay "interest" (also known as taxes) and other fees for the privilege of supporting their community. And lets not forget all the labour/toil/sweat the community puts into a club like the Eels since its inception either.

Where is the EQUAL EXCHANGE IN SUBSTANCE/VALUE?

Obviously there isn't an equal exchange in substance/value being provided and without FULL-DISCLOSURE what we have is a MONOPOLY, that benefits ONLY those in on the scam. And the losers,..... everyone complaining in this post + all the EELS fans, players, officials, staff, juniors in the district, etc, etc.

Has anyone read the Communist Manifesto yet....????

Here is another example of this abuse..... German Central Bank Admits In Writing They Create Money Out Of Thin Air....: http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2010/03/german-central-bank-admits-that-credit.html

Can you imagine what will happen to the Eels Club, the Eels supporters base and all Eels services and facilities if they did not have to pay interest for money created out of thin air --- money which does not exist, has never existed and which is incapable of providing an equal exchange in substance/value as in labour for labour??????

Here resides the REAL problem behind the issues of catering and awful management services being complained about in this post.....

Don't pump your own tyres up Bart.
Terry bailed due to Mit's pedantic replies. Simple as that.
It's a shame really. I like the fact that we have a former grand final winner on here answering queries. I also like the fact that we have someone like Jodeci giving us a bit of inside info.
I DON'T like the fact that there is no one else from the current board willing to spend a few moments occassionally conversing with fellow LU contributers.
The lack of communication and openess that was promised by the 3P ticket has been duely noted by many on this forum. I for one certainly hope that it changes, and that is one major item I will be bringing up with some current directors.

I think it's pretty clear there'd be significant advantages for us running the stadium, but it could also have the potential to be another liability.

Not if we control the creation and issue of credit. It only requires a community to come together in the name of the community to take control of the communities credit creation and management of its circulation in the community. The world of the oyster becomes the communities and not the MONOPOLY whose loyalties are not to the community. Not much has to change nor any inconvenience or cost to the community to bring this about very very quickly. One great benefit of many is FREEDOM.... usually always a lot better than enslavement to the private enterprise who are not answerable to the community.

Pedantics there Fishy. It was a hypothetical point directed to Sevens, I'm not sure whether he knows Josh personally or not. He's the one suggesting people shouldn't use the media...

I didn't say I'd contact the shock jock myself ;-). Just meant that the threat of dissatisfaction posted publicly here SHOULD be enough for our Club to get active on behalf of its Members about the issue - rather than risk the issue being picked up by a "shock jock" of whatever medium (eg Ray Hadley, or Josh Massoud).

Fair enough, though (without going back to check) the tone of your post suggested we just leave things here to get picked up by media and shock jocks rather than pro actively bring the issues to peoples attention. I'm still surprised you felt that way

Writing private letters to the Stadium Trust, or whispering in a single Director's ear may not be enough to get the result. Sangreal has clearly bailed judging by his post above, because he doesn't like the role of passing on a wide range of opinions - on here he always finds reasons to try and squash any criticism designed for (further) improvement. Bring back Parra Future any day...

Maybe he'll come back to the forum this week given our opponents on Friday night ;-)

???

I missed half a page - the latter part of page 7, apparently.

lol... *wanker*

Fine mate. Just make your comments fully informed, as you expect everyone else to do.
My lol was because you commented before you'd seen all the posts that you'd already seen fit to comment about.
Hardly think that qualifies me as a wanker, although there are many on here who have had the pleasure of chanting that in the past. I'm fine with that.

Who was in charge Mark....oh thats right Denis was, and the upgradings were done for the soccer as they were blowing up. Mark you are a very intelligent young bloke, but your bias is really starting to bore me, as you talk about people putting their hands up to do things, and you sit on here anonymously putting the slipper into anything and everything. You are a very different bloke on here than when we speak in person, and yes me getting myself appointed to the board Mark, oh yes I am sure Denis would work with me on every issue.

How about a mutiny of love Terry. I know how to permanently tie up the balls of all the conspirators of the monopoly. Not saying Dennis is one of them but conscious or not, innocent or not, he works for them...

Thanks captain obvious. I've already stated that, and am also replying to what I saw as a poor sevens reply directly to one of my posts. You're high maintenance, I don't know whether it's because you're thick, or because you're dishonest. Because I don't want to assume you're thick, I have to assume you are just constantly gunning for a rise? You've got one, so you can sleep happily.
It's a shame really. I like the fact that we have a former grand final winner on here answering queries. I also like the fact that we have someone like Jodeci giving us a bit of inside info.
Sevens has always had "problems" here dealing with opinions different to his own, and when faced with something he can't understand adopts an agressive style that is not the most constructive way to resolve or further the issues raised. That's the shame here imo, like it is with someone else I know.
I DON'T like the fact that there is no one else from the current board willing to spend a few moments occassionally conversing with fellow LU contributers.

Exactly, I agree with you. You bring it up with those you know face to face, and I'll bring it up here, where the promise was originally made. (Hopefully you don't assume this comment means that I live my life by the forums", it's just my choice of how I'm airing the concern I have. Good luck with your choice, and hopefully changes will come.)

Fair enough, though (without going back to check) the tone of your post suggested we just leave things here to get picked up by media and shock jocks rather than pro actively bring the issues to peoples attention. I'm still surprised you felt that way
Fair enough. I wasn't saying it's an either/or situation Fishy. I think you'll find that's been Suity questioning why people would write their grievances publicly on a forum. He seems to be advocating an either or choice, I'm just justifying (to him, high maintenance guy that he seems to be) why I think it's a valid way to trigger the directors into action. As I've said (also to him in PM *sigh*) hopefully the combination of approaches will get some change for fans/members.

Maybe he'll come back to the forum this week given our opponents on Friday night ;-)
Couldn't give a rats tbh. I'd rather have someone on here who brings answers rather than spin.

Fine mate. Just make your comments fully informed, as you expect everyone else to do.
Thanks for the tip on the post I'd missed. However don't recall expecting others to read every post in every thread, or pulling them up for not doing it in the style that you employ? These days (and for some time) I prefer to let people post their own stuff and simply discuss from there, everyone's got a view. It's when people try to shut out others' views I take issue.
My lol was because you commented before you'd seen all the posts that you'd already seen fit to comment about.
Hardly think that qualifies me as a wanker, although there are many on here who have had the pleasure of chanting that in the past. I'm fine with that.
 Ok then. Thanks for pointing out a few posts I had missed, but as I said, it's more in the style you bring with it - lol, and your apparent sensitivity to these things only on certain issues.

Please don't PM me separately about this post, I haven't really got the time these days for a high maintenance forums girlfriend. :D

*SIGH*

While I am sure that this politicking is quite interesting, I didn't reply to Sevens post purely to leave this thread to get back on track.

People can call me a pedant all they want. Seriously water of a ducks back because I am a pedant, it is part of my Job description. Sometimes it is the only way things work.

Now for the most part the talk about this being, whoever is at fault is useless to the extreme. We know who we have to talk to it is the Stadium Trust, as the Message from Mr Warren during the NYC game pointed out that this is a move from the Stadium Trust. I am sure some people might not have been in the ground when he said it as only the NRL matters, but for those of us that were enjoying the Under 20's it was the 2nd message of the day.

If we consider that the club knew about this last week, then we have to assume that for the most part they will be hearing about this issue from numerous members who are quite upset, I know I had conversations that day with many quite literally furious members.

I personally am not sure when the "Debrief" for Sundays event would be, but I am sure that this issue will be once again raised. If someone from the Football office is their then excellent, but considering how hard they are all working in our clubs best interest they could miss this meeting.

So to cover all our bases, I would suggest venting our personal disgust here to this email address on the Stadium Website. info@parramattastadium.com.au

I know that personally I gave some "Constructive" feedback to the Usher that was on our steps, and was told she would bring it up at their meeting.

As I said to her, personally I would think that closing the gates between the Concourse and the Stands would be a better option than having a single usher at each step stopping access.

If they want to continue this route, have 3 security guards at each stair case and let the ushers do their jobs, that is getting people to their seats.

Hellsy's Idea of roving confectionery sales people is good as well, I agree with her it has been a few years since I have seen any of those at Parramatta Stadium. While I don't know if that is a function of the Stadium directly or if it is via their catering contractors at Gema Catering, either way the best way to direct these problems is to the Stadium Trust via the above email.

Geeze, angry Bart

Just on Sevens, I hope he comes back. I took that post as being bailing on that discussion, and I hope thats what it was.

It's been by his good grace that he has been posting here and I've appreciated, even if he did have a crash or crash through style sometimes. He holds no official position within the club, and we've been fortunate that he has been posting here. Not sure of any other clubs have had a former GF winner with close board connections posting.

The way his exchange with Mark deteriorated yesterday was disappointing, but the sole finger cant be pointed at sevens, I didnt think there was any need for Mark to make continual cracks about 'why dont you get yourself appointed to the stadium trust'

Arhh, Something along the lines of.

Customers seated in the Grandstands may notice a change to the entry procedures, you will now need to show your tickets to enter the Grandstands. This change has been made to allow better access for all Patrons to a greater range of stadium catering options, Parramatta Stadium Trust appreciates your co-operation with these changes.

Cheers, I'd assume then, week one, they'd have received some complaints if they've been prompted to do that.

I would think so, It would be interesting to know who prompted the change, the Stadium trust or the Eels, but regardless a message was read out and told us the change was because of the Stadium Trust.

While we might want to organise a Panel to meet with the Stadium trust, there are many steps before we get to that, and it would seem at least some reaction has been generated from these changes, and someone has received it loud and clear before the game, considering the E-mail and announcement.

I don't have time to read this whole thread but i really believe that they (The Trust and Catering co.) need to get the simple things right to start off with.
#1 I sit in the East Terrace and on sunday in the heat they didn't have the individual drink venders working until approx. half an hour before the game. In that heat, they should have been there from the start or at the latest half time in the NYC. At times you have to line up for up to half an hour to get to the food venders, not that i eat from them, which leads me to...

# 2 Making the food edible. I do not eat the Stadium food any longer as i twice had food poisoning after eating there in 2008. This is not good enough. They then decided at the end of last season to ban all outside commercial foods. Luckily i have big pockets.

As i said, get the simple things right and stuff like people checking tickets and the occassional hiccup won't annoy people too much.
