Being in the stand, I would have to dispute the all patrons a greater range of catering options.
For those on the Terraces are the food outlets/bar open down there?

I'm happy to email the Stadium Trust and the Eels but I just don't seem to have time these days to put all the constructive points and criticisms together... especially now I have to weed through more bitching at each other posts.
I'll try to get this done on the weekend when time is a little more plentiful

Pedantics there Fishy. It was a hypothetical point directed to Sevens, I'm not sure whether he knows Josh personally or not. He's the one suggesting people shouldn't use the media...

I didn't say I'd contact the shock jock myself ;-). Just meant that the threat of dissatisfaction posted publicly here SHOULD be enough for our Club to get active on behalf of its Members about the issue - rather than risk the issue being picked up by a "shock jock" of whatever medium (eg Ray Hadley, or Josh Massoud).

Writing private letters to the Stadium Trust, or whispering in a single Director's ear may not be enough to get the result. Sangreal has clearly bailed judging by his post above, because he doesn't like the role of passing on a wide range of opinions - on here he always finds reasons to try and squash any criticism designed for (further) improvement. Bring back Parra Future any day...

Bartman,

I'm back baby.

Parra Future.

(Waiting for the Wests Tigers jokes from my friend Fishy).

Some people do.

It got a lot of attention from both sides prior to the LC election.

Funny how that attention, with the exception of the occasional sevens post has pretty much evaporated. :sarcasm:

I think if the people posting here frequently in the lead up to the election suddenly re-emerge prior to the next election and tell us how important we are, we'll all see straight through them

Some people need to understand that you can still log on as a guest and read every post left right and centre without signing on as your username. Trust me, many people are still reading. Hello again.

And interestingly it hasn't made a single cent profit in 3 years. Go ask fish who will confirm that, we have both looked at the stadiums Annual reports for the last few years.

Actually, no, I commented that some people have a conspiracy theory view of the actions of the Stadium Trust.

So firstly with us being locked into a Long Term agreement, would you rather play else were Terry? Would you rather us take the games to ANZ Stadium. Personally I don't mind one bit. However I thought you were plum against that, and believed we could make more money out of Parramatta Stadium.

The Stadium was built by the State Government and has been owned by the State Government since its completion. Sure it might have been built with the Eels in mind but the place has always been owned by the State, it is Part of the Parramatta Park which itself is Crown land. You know the same Crown land half of our Leagues Club is built on.

I find it quite amusing that you think we could make a Bomb out of Parramatta Stadium. We already get the Income from the Signage, we already get the income from the gate. Do you really think Food and Beer sales are that great ?

Hey if I have heard right, and the Libs get into Power, they will hand over management rights to the club. Which will mean more work, but I wonder for what reward.

MITS,

I heard the same thing as well regarding the Liberal Party. Maybe our good red headed friend can inform us of what Labor will do if by some major miracle they get re-elected.

If you are bailing in the face of some differing fan opinions Sevens.... then can you please send on a request for some club Board directors to occasionally have a read of fans/members thoughts, so they can pass them on/respond/act on them?

I seen to recall this was part of a pledge relating to better communications made during the election discussions (the actual thread ended up being deleted from here)? And it seems that you're the last remnant of those promises made and link to the Board that these forums have left.

Much appreciated, cheers. :thumn.

Bart,

If you would like me to get involved in regards to the thread, I am more than happy to do so to all parties. Meaning, to Denis and the other individuals of the Stadium Trust and also to the newly appointed + survivors of the previous newly elected Leagues Club Board. I do believe in saying that, that Sevens will do what he said he will do. Terry will always follow through on what he promises so maybe he has already forwarded this thread. I'll try to find out prior to doing anything else.

PF.

Don't pump your own tyres up Bart.
Terry bailed due to Mit's pedantic replies. Simple as that.
It's a shame really. I like the fact that we have a former grand final winner on here answering queries. I also like the fact that we have someone like Jodeci giving us a bit of inside info.
I DON'T like the fact that there is no one else from the current board willing to spend a few moments occassionally conversing with fellow LU contributers.
The lack of communication and openess that was promised by the 3P ticket has been duely noted by many on this forum. I for one certainly hope that it changes, and that is one major item I will be bringing up with some current directors.

Suity

Suity,

Above noted. Hopefully that will change soon. Good to talk to you the other day. I hope you had a good one with your son. It was a cracker match to be at.

Thanks mate, I did and it was. Good to hear from you too.
I'll tell you something though - if the offer comes up again, I won't be knocking it back twice. ;-)

Fair enough, though (without going back to check) the tone of your post suggested we just leave things here to get picked up by media and shock jocks rather than pro actively bring the issues to peoples attention. I'm still surprised you felt that way

Maybe he'll come back to the forum this week given our opponents on Friday night ;-)

Its rather funny fish. If I remember correctly, the last time we communicated online, it was about letting things go and moving forward. Maybe I was in Bizzaro World that day. Who knows. And yes, the Eels play the Tigers this week. Heres an interesting stat for you not that any other LU people will care. I've been to one Wests Tigers game this year. The trial match against the Roosters that the Roosters won. So far in Eels matchs (1st Grade only), I have been to both. Talk to MITS, seen him at both and Hellsy at one (no drunk jokes Hellsy). And had the priviledge of being with Stagger during one hell of a comeback against Manly.

On the issue of this weeks game against the Tigers, I will not be in attendance. I have prior work commitments to deal with. I will however be definatley going to every other Eels home game this year Parra Stadium or not and will be looking forward to the Tigers one at the end of the season. And to ease your aching heart, yes I have one very big soft spot for the Black and Golds. Great team, and great entertainers. I've also got that same big soft spot for the Eels and can be found at those games, venues and hanging out with those fans probably on a 10 to 1 basis versus WT.

Hope you enjoy the game on Friday night Fish. I will be enjoying the replay later in the evening when I finally get to watch the recording.

Last time we communicated on here, I extended an olive branch to your good self, perhaps you didn't see it but a 'mate' of your ripped on me after it. Oh well.

I must admit, being called a cyber space nerd was quite amusing

Yeah, its not really that interesting, sorry Col. I cant say I gave it any thought if you were there or not until you just posted that. Sorry. No offence intended. Hope Stagger wasnt too intense during the second half.....

None of which, of course has anything to do with the quality of service at Parramatta Stadium.

Good to see you with time enough to post on the forums PF :thumn.

It's not up to me whether you get involved re this thread and with the parties you mentioned - totally your choice, and the choice of those bodies that you mention if they want to use you in that way. I'm just posting my concerns here so that they can be referred to by whoever needs to know or follow these things, in the Club or Stadium Trust (or media).

If others here want to gather all the points up and write to someone, then all power to them :thumn. But personally - rather than Sevens' suggestion of fans forming a group to write to the Trust - as a Member I'd be focussing attention on the Club Directors, as they are our elected representatives. The united Directors (FC and LC, from whichever ticket) are the people I would expect would make the effort to represent the fans'/members' collective feelings, not (as Sevens suggests) having the fans/members (as individuals) do all the ground work or make all the effort on any Club issue.

I look forward to action from the Directors that see this as a result of Sevens' action, and of any further developments and communication on this issue that comes as a result. All the best PF, and see you at a game sometime. :thumn

Hi Bart,

If memory serves me correct, you got the last round. The next time we catch up it is my shout. I've got a corporate outdoor box for the full season on the Cronin side of the ground not far off half way up the back. Before the next home game, we should catch up for a beer in Sterlo's.

Instead of me re-reading the past 21 pages like I did earlier today, if all the idea's went onto one list, I'll get it forwarded on to all the right people for everyone and keep everyone in the loop with the answers. I tried Terry tonight but couldn't get him. He has no doubt done it as well, but the more the merrier. I look forward to catching up with you at the next game.

I sit near the boxes in the Cronin Stand, so I'll keep an eye out for you there on the Monday night game v Raiders. Or failing that (as Monday nights suck imo) at the next Stadium game against Sharks in May.

There is no reason that food and beer sales cannot grow by around 200%.

When you see massive lines for beer, and cut the supply before the end of the game, you know you could sell more. A lot more.

A lot more money could be made from this - social engineering is the only thing holding the sales back.

If I was a moderator there would have been some 'swamping' done in this thread.
Like I said earlier and amoungst the bitching at each other that took over, I'll try to compile this list over the weekend made up of all actual comments and complaints as well as ideas on how to better things. This is exactly why I bitch so much about not doing the same thing in the voting thread.... imagine going through 21 pages similar to this to pick out 3,2,1 votes

So peeps!!!! If U have any great thoughts you want passed on as part of this please leave comments.

And for the luv of God... can we now stop arguing now.....

Do we really have to wait till May for our next Parra stadium match after the Raiders game??

Cheers, thanks Sevens. This post had escaped me in scanning the thread tonight. My apologies for not realising that you had actually undertaken to do this. :thumn:

However I feel my replies to the later crap you posted in response to myself and MITS - including the one where you seem to say you are bailing from these forums - remain justified. Cheers.

I'm not bailing out of the forum, I just had to get off line to go to Sydney, and gave a back handed comment on sign off. Your comments and everyone else's I take on board and will make known to our directors and managment. Your comments Bart, some I agree, some I do not, but I respect yours and everyones right to your point of view, as we do not learn if we do not listen to the hearbeat of the club. Mark believes he has the ear of all who know, but that was in the past, the direct line for the batphone has been disconnected, and we are moving into the future , a future we cannot achieve without our supporters and members. Denis made an agreement with the Stadium Trust, and I have no doubt he believed it was done with the best interests of the club at that time, but it is a deal that the club is locked into, and the board and mangement have to negotiate and plan around that agreement. Mark can quote what was achieved in 2006, and his involvement, but Mark I know a bit more on the overall picture of our club than you do, and it frustrating to read some of your posts, but all we would do is drag this forum and our club into the mire. The frustration in our club from all sides concerning that Stadium is enormous, and because of the current agreement is pretty much out of the clubs control, as they have I believe no say in the catering, beverage, staff or security, which are the areas all of you have brought up on this thread. In time that has to change, and perhaps Mark can get on his direct line to the State Political Analyst he has on tap and fills us in on his mail if there were a change of Government in this State, it would be interesting reading the mail my old mate Mark has about the Stadium. We all want one thing, but we cant change the past, so lets all work for a common goal for a successful future.....and your never going to please everyone.......your shout Mark....Recshes thanyou....large one....cheers.

Sevens.

Sevens, it's good to hear that when the current deal is up, the club will be trying to drive a harder bargain with the trust. That is, if I read your quote correctly.
That's all anybody around here wants, as well I suppose as those who don't post here. The way the joint is run at the moment is getting beyond a joke, and a lot of people are disatisfied.
Just on a personal issue, I had two security guards chatting beside myself and my son (7) on Sunday, and the language was deplorable. I wasn't offended, but it's not the sort of stuff that I want a seven y.o. to hear. They didn't stop until I asked them to pull their heads in. I know that's not your issue, just thought it was worth a mention.
