Stadium staff and service.....

If I was a moderator there would have been some 'swamping' done in this thread.
Like I said earlier and amoungst the bitching at each other that took over, I'll try to compile this list over the weekend made up of all actual comments and complaints as well as ideas on how to better things. This is exactly why I bitch so much about not doing the same thing in the voting thread.... imagine going through 21 pages similar to this to pick out 3,2,1 votes

So peeps!!!! If U have any great thoughts you want passed on as part of this please leave comments.

And for the luv of God... can we now stop arguing now.....

So you and I think everyone in this Thread is going to love this.

I sent an E-mail to the E-mail address listed in the thread about my complaints Tuesday.

I received a reply, just now stating that for all future Eels events, the gates would be closed between the Grand Stand and the Concourse.

Sanity has prevailed.

I have always told people for many years if they want to register a complaint, the best channels are either the Stadium Trust or the Club depending on who is responsible. While I can understand people asking here if other people experienced the problem, the best route is to put it in writing to those responsible.

I have always find you get so much more done that way.

I didn't even need the bat phone!

Yeah the Email said something along the lines off

This should alleviate any issues that you may be experiencing with regards to having to show your ticket at the Grandstand stairs.

Did they give any reasoning as to why they were open in the first place?

BTW Mark, going back to your previous post, what was the announcement during Toyota Cup?

It didnt come through on my TV set!

Arhh, Something along the lines of.

Customers seated in the Grandstands may notice a change to the entry procedures, you will now need to show your tickets to enter the Grandstands. This change has been made to allow better access for all Patrons to a greater range of stadium catering options, Parramatta Stadium Trust appreciates your co-operation with these changes.

I hope that helps Mick

That is just the stadium admitting that catering facilities are not up to scratch in some parts of the ground, and this was just their poor attempt to alleviate such problems.

Thanks Mark. I appreciate it, I had started drafting my email to them but I was going to wait till the weekend to add in all the other bits mentioned in here... like the catering and the quality, as well as the thought of temporary bars/food stalls etc. I thought I'd hit them with everything as opposed to one at a time, but this of course was the biggest issue I found so if this has been resolved that's great - thanks for letting us know.

Great work Mark, well done and a great result for fans. Dare I say it, a real Director-style intervention on behalf of Members' interests.

I'm not bailing out of the forum, I just had to get off line to go to Sydney, and gave a back handed comment on sign off.
No worries, my misunderstanding then.

Your comments and everyone else's I take on board and will make known to our directors and managment. Your comments Bart, some I agree, some I do not, but I respect yours and everyones right to your point of view, as we do not learn if we do not listen to the hearbeat of the club.
That's the type of stuff that's great to hear and see written here Sevens :thumn. That message sadly goes missing when forummers sometimes choose to dispute the right of each other to have and state (sometimes differing) opinions re club matters, rather than respect the views for what they are - people's opinions from the broad church that forms the Parra army.

He is a good thing mate, and he is under instructions by two way to speak when told by staff in the control box. The board love what he is doing, management love him, but more importantly the sponsors think he is sensational as their company names are loud and clear for all to hear.
Everything is still being fine tuned two games in.
Would be great if fans could be somewhere in that sentence too...

He's an improvement on his Roosters supporter predecessor, but I agree there is still tweaking to do.... I find myself tuning out and not hearing sponsors names (or much of what he is saying to be honest), because there are not enough gaps, and it becomes a bit of a drone for 15 minutes?

My suggestion would be to utilise the board more, to break up the speaking/noise. As MITS said, silence straight after NYC so fans can talk to each other while they compose themselves after that game, then some talking, then a break for some silence and maybe just some video footage (excerpts from the history DVDs, serves a dual purpose to promote what merch is available), then some talking, then the ex-player interview feature on the big screen (which has gone down well), then the final pre-match introduce the player talking.

And not have him trying to say those ridiculously long Eels numbers for each player. Have it on the screen, and make a general statement at the start promoting them as member numbers, but then get him just to say the jersey numbers as he reads the names please?

Thanks in advance for considering the suggestion.

What a let down.... to think that the players in this to and fro stadium issue were without the bat-phone.
I honestly thought they looked, dressed and acted like this...

Probably wouldn't if personal insults and abuse were kept from some forumers comments, but these issues are up to each and every forumer to control I suppose.

Well done Sevens and Mits. I feel it's been a productive day all round, and can see the role that this forum plays in action as well as outside influences beyond these walls.
