well I don't specifically think its all fitzy - but he could have a say in things .... I don't know how much input the board of the trust have in the operations

why would they open those gates when the entire point of them is to separate the entries? .... why do it now when it wasn't done before? .... its weird

I'm guessing it was a stuffup opening the gates between the terrace and stand. Probably be back to normal next game.
But the service will still be hopeless!

Could it be as simple as the start of a new season? A new security guard for example not closing the gates at the designated time? An error in communication between stadium security perhaps?
I certainly don't know the answer but I think it is a long bow to think that the stadium trust done it on purpose in order to satisfy some sort of agenda.

A friend of mine wasn't allowed in for having a packet of chewing gum in her bag FFS! It's getting ridiculous the amount of time u have to wait for for over priced underwealming food & drink. The only dissapointment in visiting the greatest football ground in the land.

I thought the game was at Parra, not Homebush.

Firstly I am a Wests Tigers member but also frequent a fair few Parra games with my Mate and Bro who are Parra fans.

I have been to every ground in NSW Canberra and Suncorp and Parramatta Stadium comes dead last with Food and Service.

I sit in the Hindmarsh Terrace on Western side to the left of the ground and have observed the following over the years.

1) Quality of food is terrible. The Hotdogs are boring and overpriced. At Leichhardt Oval and Campbelltown you can get a 12 inch sized Frankfurt with cheese on top which is cheaper and alot tastier. Also Wedges with piles of Sour Cream with you cant get at Parra.

SFS and Homebush you can buy burgers and pizzas.

Parramatta your choices are.

Boring hotdogs
chips and wedges (without sour cream)
Disgusting fried fish or spring rolls
Nachos with a nasty meat straight out of tub.

2) The Lining up for customers is pathetic.

For food and beer there is one line each. Can you imagine a car freeway with only one line? Delays more than likely

There is only one cash register as well.

leichardt and Ctown have a good 6 lines for each food outlet with a server and cash register for each line. Can get food in 5-10 minutes for food at leichardt even with a 26000 sellout.

Penrith have a good 8 lines under the western grandstand even with a dedicated line for Panther Members which is an excellent idea.

SFS and Homebush are self service as well with about 5 cash registers so getting food is quick there as well.

3) Last year they had a cart for coke and Icecreams that wasnt there on friday forcing you to lineup in the other food outlet which is poor.

4) However you have the choice of the stadium food outlet now which is good for the terrace people so getting food was faster on friday. But they will probably stop that :)

Ok, I missed Kornstars post. There you go, one person.

But Strider didnt mention Fitzy.

Strider thanks for you putting that word in his mouth I'm sure.

TBH, I reckon Luke Coleman would have as much a reason for an agenda as Fitzy. And Luke Coleman is responsible for day to day running.

I see no consipracy though. Just a continuation of whats gone before

You are correct in that Strider didn't actually type his name. He did however quote Kornstar, and specifically the part about DF. To the point of deleting the rest of his post to emphasise what he was commenting on/agreeing with.

Strider thanks you for sticking up for him though, I'm sure.

Definately 2 cash registers on eastern side in each window in food section

Re The line, parra's configuration can not allow for 8 (or even 4) registers unless major renovations are done.

Eastern Terrace had a Coke and Ice cream Cart.

Agree Choice of food ordinary. I am sure years ago we had Burgers as a choice.

What about our sour cream Crippler? Parra fans deserve sour cream with our wedges too!

There were enough people there who were sour with the whole experience of being there without adding cream to the mix. ;-)

At no stage have I said the service isn't disgustingly poor. I just think it ridiculous that there could be some sort of sub-plot to it.

Can the stadium trust fix the catering and service problems? Do you think they are aware of it? The service they receive in the trust box is probably top notch and they probably wouldn't know what the experience is like for the average punter.

Who else thought the Electronic Advertising on the Eastern side was way too bright and distracted you from the game.

It goes from preety much the 20 metre line to the other 20 metre line.

And changes every 4-5 seconds with really bright white ads that takes too much focus off the game and can even effect your vision of the ball if and players if you are low enough in the western terrace

YES!!! Especially when the BSC advertising came up with the bright red background!! I couldnt handle it

I thought the service we got from the scoreboard was pretty poor.

I mean, FFS, the Dragons always had more points.

Whats with that?

no - it would have been an organised thing if they knew the person up stairs had to check tickets because a gate has been left open .... I can't see it would have just been accidental - surely someone would have gone, oh lets just close this gate that is here for the purpose of stopping this exact thing that we are telling someone else to now stop up stairs

only thing I can imagine is they thought they needed more ways of ppl getting in due to a large crowd????
