I have to give credit to the medical staff at the ground. An elderly woman next to me fainted during the first half, they were pretty prompt to check to see if she was ok and came back at half time to check up on her, i think they may have also came back at full time as well.

As i said in my post, i heard 2 security people, one at the gate and the other one checking the tickets, both said not to blame them but the Stadium Trust!

They were directed by the Stadium Trust, that is who runs the ground. It was PLANNED before the game quite clearly!

I mentioned DF specifically but then i also did harp on about the ENTIRE board of the Stadium Trust!

I still stand by my comments that the board seemed to be making it difficult knowing full well that the Parramatta Eels Club would be the ones that look bad, not the morons who run the Stadium!

In regards to the food, i stopped eating it 2 years ago, waste of time and money......pizza after the game on the way home is a much better choice!

Re The line, parra's configuration can not allow for 8 (or even 4) registers unless major renovations are done.

Eastern Terrace had a Coke and Ice cream Cart.

Agree Choice of food ordinary. I am sure years ago we had Burgers as a choice.

They dont want to lose the game to Homebush, but they dont want to cater for it either. The trust need to pull up their socks or they will have no bargaining power at all next time a deal is signed.

i think spotless catering used to do it years ago.
the last time i went to the SFS ( would have been 5-6 years ago) spotless were doing there and the choice was good, quailty was good but the prices were high.

The sad thing is that it is in the best interests of the Stadium, its caterer to have the best possible service. If it means putting a shed-load of staff on at minimum wage, they would see the returns ten-fold with an increase in revenues.

I know the facilities are not of the same standard, but it takes mere seconds to get 4 beers at Suncorp and Skilled (I was there Friday and Saturday with 49k and 17k crowds).

Currently the catering is done via Gemma Catering.

Still, I don't eat a lot of food these days, so I don't line up to much.

The addition of a coffee cart selling "real" coffee (and hot chocolate) has been welcomed (apart from the incident I saw on Friday night).

But major re-modelling needs to take place to increase the catering. Also the people behind the counter need to be separated into food preparation and food sales. Something like ANZ Stadium has (walk in pick up what you want, pay to get out) would be far quicker than the method we currently have.

But that remolding would also mean we would lose the Cheerleaders Dressing Rooms / Practise space and the Storage Shed on the Cronin side of the ground.

As to the staff, I normally expect to be asked once if I know where I am going each year. I have quite a memorable visage, but to be asked as I was going up the stairs to my seat, was a bit rich.

Even if our cards were in lanyards, the person then has to turn them around and decipher the section. Indeed I saw a number of times where the ushers still didn't get it right and bring people to the wrong sides of the bay and then let them fight there way along 25 seats to get to their actual seats.

Hells I find it strange that you got asked for your tickets. Isn't the Cronin stand separated from the terrace?? If so, why would you need proof.

That it is, the only area you can get to in Cronin stand is the stand... which I think has 2 grades of tickets, it used to be called Gold and Blue not sure what it is called now. Gold was the mid section around the halfway line and blue was the rest either side.

Exactly, and that is what I thought she was doing at first as I just said 'I know where I'm going thanks' until she called after me that she would have security remove me if I didn't get back and show my tickets.

I see alot of complaints about the food, and you know what I only eat Hot Chips and they are usually just fine so I can't weigh into that talk too much... but I do believe you guys as I know I've been hearing it for years on here and at the games etc.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but as a fan Parra Stadium frustrates me no end! Ive been a season ticket holder for many many years, and have been to almost every ground in the NRL, so i think I have a good grasp of what works at a ground and what doesnt.
Btw, I can only speak of the Cronin side, but know that facilities are similar on both sides.

1) Toilet facilities are totally inadequate. Under the Cronin end, particularly the southern end, there is a massive amount of wasted area that was once the domain of smokers. The toilets need to come out at least 5 metres, with one entry and one exit. Not the piddling facility (excuse the pun) we have currently!
2) Drinks and food service is totally inadequate. I never buy food and rarely buy beers, only cause i know that the wait time is poor. And when I do line up, the inefficiencies in regard to service and bar and food area layout frustrate the hell out of me.
3) When i do decide to have a beer before game, then i have a few more observations a) no tables to even put a beer on!!?? b) 2 beers at a time!? please. And when i do stand there and watch the 20's briefly, i shake my head at the poor sods in the terrace who even bother to line up for a beer or food!!!

The facilities at Parra Stadium has been an on-going joke amongst my parra and non-parra friends for many years now, yet nothing changes. it may have been acceptable, just, in 1986, but it is not acceptable in 2010. The Stadium trust has failed its tenants with facilities.

And i havent even mentioned the Sound system, or replay screen!

Also thanks to Paul Osborne for supporting us and Luke Coleman the Stadium manager for working with us to build the best supporters group in the NRL.
