Congrats EL B ..a great turnout in a AFL supposed heartland..& for a trial game .
AFL regular season games get about 16 K...so i think the Storm would be mad not to take one game a yr over there..
Seems Tas people are starved for sports .

11,000 ?? WOW

Thats a pretty good crowd for a game in Tasmania, let alone a trial match.

Agreed, more games in Tassie.

I've always been a fan of Tas. Most ignored state in Australia. Start with trial matches to build some interest. Move onto full NRL matches. Give it time. Let the population grow. Target the kiddies.

It would be a long project but would love to see it happen.

Tas > CQLD

I live in Brisbane but this is a real f**kwit comment.....something i would expect from hutty.

Great turn out! Show sthere is interest in RL down there.

we have a junior development officer getting into the schools
I hope the ARLC consider the growth of our game at all levels when it is considering how to spend its new money. Whilst AFL spends $52mill+ on growing its game, places like WA, SA and Tassie struggle to have more than a couple of devlopment officers.

Congrats on the turn-out EB. Will surely lead to more visits by other teams in years to come. In fact the Sharks will probably call as soon as they pay their phone bill :D

That's a bit rich coming from a Storm supporter.

Wow. That was a great crowd. I don't think Tasmania could sustain an NRL team but it deserves more trial matches for sure.

No point the Storm playing in Hobart, they need to focus on winning over more Melbourne folk. Sydney clubs are better off moving a home game down there once a year.

The crowd was amazing and could have been bigger if we had done a few things differently.

Support was about 70/30 for the Storm. The Broncos support was loud and very surprising.

The Storm were brilliant ambassadors for the game all week.

I got very pissed and I am now just recovering from a 3am finish, and $700 richer from a visit to the Casino afterwards.

And it was my birthday yesterday.

Cannot ask for more than that!
