Having a bunch of teams with Sydney as their geographic signifier is a bit silly, so maybe they should be the North Sydney Sea Eagles or maybe North Shore Sea Eagles, but aside from that this is a no brainier that should have happened 20 years ago.

Maybe you'll lose a few thousand fans, but they'll be replaced by tens of thousands over the long run.

Besides if a minor name change and moving the club 20mins down the road is enough to make them give up on the club then they weren't really very big fans of the club to begin with.
