Why did we extend Russell and then drop him ?

I think simonssen is better than Russell if he holds onto the ball. And tbh not sure why we did extend him. I guess he must be on min wage.

Davey is a very good player. I’m sure our defence will tighten up a little. I didn’t mind him tbh.

I think he has fewer mistakes in him than Simonssen, he had a bad game a few weeks back under the high ball, but Simonssen had quite a few bad games IMO

Outside of sivo and penisini the other centre/wing selections don’t matter too much. All our options there at the moment are pretty poor

I think it’s more about containing David Fafita who ran riot last week. Carty can be a bit of an arm grabber at times. Davey is a very big body and a good defender, kinda like Marata was for us. Being shifted to the bench isn’t as scandalous as it seems. Matto has started this year, but we all know that he will get a big chunk of game time and be an important part of the team this week.
