Dumb play with it all locked up so close to the end. Its not even sudden death golden point in finals extra time after the nrl changed it to stop the stupid shoot out. Its 5 mins a half but they probably would of got us with 1 pointers anyhow. We were busted as well and would of been even tougher next week. Its over now and im still proud of their effort last night in getting so close.

Finals footy, like all sides, they trained all year to play conservative in these moments.

They just didn’t obey their instructions. As a result, they were smashed well into next season.

I need to apologise to Kurt. On first inspection, I thought he failed to deliver a pass like he should.

Watched the replay countless times now. It was a set play meant for Hunt to hit Field out the back, with Mann running a decoy.

If Hunt delivers to Field, it was open spaces with Lafai and Pereira in support (only Gagai to beat).

Everyone did their job except Hunt.

Yep this , his constant dumb sh*t replies . What annoys me is he reminds everyone that he has played at a high level . I will bet my knackers that the level he played at is nowhere near where I have played . But that doesn't make him or me any better than everyone on this forum .... You’re right there was plenty else gone wrong before that point. But Mann takes 3 steps from getting the ball to getting tackled. He had time. Didn’t have the vision or awareness. He did plenty of good stuff during the game too, I’m not trying to hang the loss on him, but he’s capable of making that play, and he didn’t.

Forgot to say also that if the idea was to get Field into a gap then why the hell wasn't Leilua on the paddock as he could have very well been the one to provide the offload or draw the defenders to him.
We limited out options.

I can't blame Hunt for the last tackle play. Mann had to just catch and pass and Field was away with 2 support players. Yes Hunt could have used Mann as a decoy and thrown the pass to Field too. The play was on and I think we should have gone for it. I am not going to crucify any player for that last play. We had 79 minutes to win the game.

Gee a bit harsh to be blaming Hunt for that play. Mann could have easily passed or even grubbered down the short side. We were shot to bits and I think it was right to go wide there. I’m not blaming Mann either though because they all played their hearts out f9r the majority of the game. Proud of the lads who hung in against all odds and nearly came away with the win.

I certainly was and I have been supporting us for many decades....

The media is already starting to bait and troll our players...isn't it time for our fans to not join in with them and help to create further headlines...

The end result is players not wanting to play for our team because of the scrutiny the media puts them under....the Media loves to create headlines about us..eg the teashirt incident ( every other club does the same thing but they make a headline out of it to bag our club )....

Gitano. I have got mates who have played reps most of their junior career and even coached junior teams and then I have other mates who played very little footy as a kid, who have a better perspective on the game than the ones who have played reps and coach junior teams.

Hunt is the journo's new whipping boy...There are a number of articles having a go at him...we as fans should be supporting the guy ..It is a team sport....

There were other critical errors in the game..

1/. Leilua's missed tackle on Crichton which lead to the Souths try
2/. Au Mau being stripped..lead directly to a field goal
3/. The penalty against McInnes...changed the momentum

None of the Journos mention any of the above...

Games over...lets just be proud of the effort from our guys.
