Gitano. I have got mates who have played reps most of their junior career and even coached junior teams and then I have other mates who played very little footy as a kid, who have a better perspective on the game than the ones who have played reps and coach junior teams.
In your opinion

Souths train for 100 minutes under as close to match conditions as they can muster. Having said that, they looked fatigued themselves and were making a lot of unforced errors. Saints showed plenty of ticker.

It’s a very hard game at this level. I admire every player with the skill and ability to appear. They are elite. Remarkable athletes and very courageous.

Geese...wake up.
Leave Mann alone but bury a supporter who has an opinion
Jerk
Only jerk is you bud, replying to something that you have nothing to do with, and has been an ongoing dispute with Gitano the great who seems to have played at an elite level and likes to constantly remind everyone and always bags out one player Kurt Mann and seems to think that aitken is the best player in the nrl
Just have a look at his posts And the responses from other members including myself plus the ones posted on this page and then you will understand why things like this are said to him so just stay out of it otherwise it could become ugly, things being said that shouldn’t be put on forums

Hunt is the journo's new whipping boy...There are a number of articles having a go at him...we as fans should be supporting the guy ..It is a team sport....

There were other critical errors in the game..

1/. Leilua's missed tackle on Crichton which lead to the Souths try
2/. Au Mau being stripped..lead directly to a field goal
3/. The penalty against McInnes...changed the momentum

None of the Journos mention any of the above...

Games over...lets just be proud of the effort from our guys.

To be fair, there are articles about the McInnes penalty.

Take the point but let's not pretend it wasn't a monumental error

I must say it’s good to see Dragons fans getting behind Ben Hunt on social media. Fox sports, Ch9 , Telegraph etc have really gone overboard placing the loss on his shoulders. I for one was proud of the Dragons, but we ran out of luck, missing key players and I think there was not much left in the tank.

Looking at the replay, many times.
Why the hell did Mann die with the ball.
He could have easily thrown it wide, it was open.
Could have led to a try.
But nope, let’s die with it like Dugan used to.

Hunt’s admitted it was his error as well.

Look I love Benny Hunt and I’m glad we’ve got him. Still think he’s in the top 3 halves in the game. Comparisons to Mitchell Pearce are ridiculous, he’s head and shoulders above Pearce.

He just needs to deliver in that one big game and he will realise his potential. Still question marks about his temperament but he’s close.

Even he would admit, the other night was a missed opportunity as the stage was set for him, especially with Widdop missing.

If he had iced that game for us, who knows how far we would have gone this year.

We would have been done by the Roosters mate. Sims, Widdop and Vaughan all out. Not a chance.

I’m proud of the boys and it was not Hunt’s fault at all, he rolled the dice going wide and the play died with Mann, who was playing 5/8th, no reason he couldn’t have kicked or passed. As others have pointed out there were other more telling passages of play that impacted them game.

Not saying it wasn't a monumental error...Hunt has come out and owned the decision...The point being he did score our only try and there were other situations that could easily be pointed out that "Lost " the game for us yet the Journos and some others make it sound like its all on Hunt...

That's totally unfair criticism...Its a team sport.

At the end of the day I'm proud of the effort shown by the team and that's all a fan can ask for ;

that they turn up to play and show pride in the jersey...they did that.

The turning point of the game was losing Simms. We were running out of troops,Debelin and Frizzel were also busted.I am not a McGregor fan but he did get the men up for the semis. He needs to learn about player wellfair to help get them through the year.

All the crap about Mann should have passed
Slow it down and gave a good look at what actually happened.
Mann had already changed his angle to cut back in before he received the pass.
It is only a slight change of angle but his
left shoulder is marginally forward as he takes the pass so no chance to go to Lafai on his left and Field was already going around the back of him so no chance to get it to him
If Field had of come up the middle then on Mann’s right side then yes Mann could have delivered a ball to him.

Just a difference of opinion OT. It doesn’t look like a draw and pass play that should be very difficult let alone impossible for a player who’s a fill in 5/8 and who many advocate as a centre for us. You know who could/would have made that pass - Lafai ;)

I thought it was unnecessary and panic-based. The risks outweighed the benefits for the last minute of the finals with the best drop kicker in the game ready to pounce. He’d already given the warning a few times. Semiphored it and played it more loudly than the silly and tragic defcon concert. No composure.

As stated, we can argue till the cows come home who got the play wrong.

The way Mann straightened, it does appear that he thought he was a decoy. Otherwise he would have angled closer to his support. And the fact that Field was trailing out the back, I’m almost 100% certain he was meant to get the ball. Perhaps Field wasn’t in the right spot and Hunt couldn’t see him so he passed to Mann, we’ll never know. It sure looked silly though when Mann was straightening and heading back into the defence.

Could Mann have passed the ball? Maybe? But let’s remember he’s a part time half and I don’t really expect him to make a clutch play in that situation.

Anyway, all moot now. I still think we should have kicked deep and taken our chances in extra time.

He's basically the same as Pearce. People just don't want to admit it.

You can talk about what he can or might have done. Fact is he didn't, same as Pearce.
