As someone who as a kid watched the cartoons of Justice League, I am happy.

Always liked Aquaman for some reason, perhaps being a Cronulla boy who loved surfing.

I am intrigued what take they have......like the actor they chose to, Stargate.

Before The Avengers the only success he had was with Toy Story (only a writing credit) and Buffy.
Lots of love for Firefly (and with that, Serenity) but that's it.
Everything else he did was a failure.

The Cabin in the Woods he wrote before The Avengers, but it wasn't released until after.

I don't hate the guy. I think he's done some good stuff (great stuff in regards to Toy Story). But he's nothing special on the directing front.
Zack Snyder is a better director than him.

That's a fair summation TS, but he's hardly a hack. His hits have made loads more cash than the misses have lost.

Dawn of the Dead, Man of Steel, Legend of the Guardians.
The only real crap film he has made (in my eyes anyway) is Sucker Punch, but at least that was ambitious and had a great visual style.
He's obviously not the best writer, but when he works from someone else's script he does fine work.

He's a good writer. I'm just yet to see anything from his directing to make him stand out from anyone else. He did a great job with Avengers, but it is far from the perfect movie many would make it out to be. I've watched it 5 times now and it gets worse every time I see it. There are a lot of problems with it that aren't noticeable on first viewing because I was too caught up in thinking "Holy shit I'm watching an Avengers movie!"
It is still entertaining, but it didn't try to aim high in regards to story. That's why I liked MoS more. It may have had a lot of problems, but it tried something different, and in my mind it mostly succeeded. It gets a higher mark from me because of that.

For me Avengers is a good popcorn movie. Entertaining and enjoyable on first viewing, but less so on when you watch it again. The whole "save the world" thing is too superficial, but still entertaining on the first viewing

Snyder either makes gold (Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen) or utter shit (Man of Steel, Legend of the Guardians, Sucker Punch).

I'm hoping Batman versus Superman doesn't suck. I'm quietly confident that the thrill of seeing it happen alone will be enough.
