Roosters forum is saying once Cronk retires, and flano onboard, it will free up enough cap space to re-sign:

Latrel
JWH
Manu
Taukeiaho

Amazing, they must all be cheapies

When you consider that Moses Mbye is on $950k those Easts players should be worth about $450k + a city Ford car with boot full of cash

I think they’ll let JWH go. He’s pretty well past his best IMO.

Still though there’s no way that Cronk’s money can pay Flanno plus those those four blokes.

Not surprised but disappointed if this is true. 3 can't fit into 2 positions though so 1 of them had to go at some stage.

How many young guns do we even keep anyway?
Everyone talks up our excellent youth development but it seems like the talent is pushed away or poached at some stage.

But that's the mechanisms of professional sport, loyalty is good and all but is pushed aside when money or a better chance comes knocking.

Brailey #1 next to go?

Trindall needs to be put in the 30 man squad, and if any injury to SJ or Chad he gets a go, not going to develop flanno for the chooks

How old is Trindall?

I think that is not wise Stake as he’s a competent first grader now & if we need a half, it’d be crazy not to use him.

I would agree in most circumstances, but with Graham/Moylan back, you could ease Trindall into the team, he wouldnt have to be the playmaker as such, from what i have seen from him, his kicking game is good, looks better goal kicker then Flanno as well.

The other option is BB into halves ahead of Flanno, i am super pi##ed in hi leaving under the circumstances

It’s a professional game, it’s up to him. We have juniors in development. We have B2 , I would love to see him at 5/8 he is a natural . If not , so keep playing Kyle remember he has worked hard for the team. SJ is signed ,of course he has to look elsewhere. We could have showed confidence in him long term and not signed SJ!

The irony here is that Kyle has developed his skills far more quickly under the tutelage of Coach Morris than the previous Head Coach.

I am particularly pleased for Chad, the signing of Johnston was set up so he would be the odd man out, so I am happy for him that he is playing great footy and the is no reason that cannot continue.

Right now, Kyle is a potential talent. We don't really know how his body will hold up to playing a full season of NRL footy - only time will tell.

We know that Chad is seasoned professional who doesn't miss many games, looks after his body and most weeks plays at a 7/10.

I will be disappointed to see him leave, I don't believe it will have an impact on our Premiership pursuit.

A comment about an affluent club and the salary cap. Back in the 1990's I was allegedly involved with some player contracts. One of these contracts was allegedly with an affluent club. It was allegedly common to throw in some alleged extras in the deal to get a player to the club.

It was allegedly rampant when a local punter Cherry Hacker was involved. This alleged story is from my journalistic sources that I cannot name.

Seriously no loss.

Much better winning half back coming through the grades.

Flanagan comes across as very arrogant and a bit of an upstart.

Morris please don’t play him off the bench.

The little f**k either fills in for injury for the rest of the year or plays reggies.

Oh and Morris if his father has a whinge to you remind him he was the one that signed Johnson.

I’m very confident the Flanno Senior grand plan was to push Chad out of the Club for his son. Glad it didn’t happen.
