The thing I find most amusing how all the tards keep saying he will get the chance to play infront of 80-90 thousand fans instead of 10,000 every second week. AFL get that number, what 3-4 times a year, while GWS will never play infront of that many, unless of course the team is stacked that much they play in a GF. Meanwhile the Broncos regularly have 40,000 plus crowds. I can't bare seeing the AFL emblem let alone a game, it just conjures up the words "weak as p1ss"!I find most of this amusing as the fumbleball idiots think that Hunt and Folau will cause people in their droves to start supporting fumbleball...
AFL are the merkins in this whole thing, not Folau... Who would seriously reject a job paying nearly 3 times as much as what you are currently earning? No one

Swamp
JM - Hit the nail on the head.
I've seen 7 Broncos depart the code and all bar 3 I believe did it because of the pay packet they would receive.
What hurts even more is that as a Rugby League fan we'd yet to see the best of Tuqiri, Folau, Hunt and Barnes and the likes of Sailor and Thorn still had more to give the game before their initial exits.
You can keep on trotting out the line, 'the game will move on' and that's good for you fans who continually support the guys who are talented but not talented enough to attract the interest of rival codes but I'd much rather see the code retain the best players in the hope that the quality of the game continues to grow and draws further interest from casual viewers.
As for Folau, I said it elsewhere and while he won't be as missed as others he's still a huge loss and it's a shame that we won't ever get to see the best of him in Rugby League.
I am pretty sure part of his salary includes talking up his new employers!
Yes he is a loss and all you have mentioned, but at what price do you keep them?
All those players have left for more money (that's what it seems)
This is the crap that annoys me. I see from your Avatar you like Buderus he left yet your still supporting League.
Yes it's a shame but I love league long before these players came along and long after they are gone I still will.
No 1 is bigger then the game.
