Been listening to NUFAN for the past 2 days. Seriously can't believe sly is gone and its been 6 months. Would love to see NUFAN do a tribute tour with Joel cape singing in a year or so to remember sly and the amazing things he did in 90's punk

yeah man that would be pretty awesome. When Cape did International You Day at the Lagwagon show, it was amazing. Very emotional.

Yeh I can imagine I've been on a huge nufan Kick lately. Been very emotional listening though

Has it been released what he died of. I read an article that states he complained of back problems a few weeks prior and was on an amount of pain killers...so maybe just over dosed as the pain got too much? Can't fault him for that though being in a band and jumping around every night would take its toll especially after 20 odd years! I was sore after a 45 minute set couldn't imagine doing it for extended amounts of time.

Massive loss for the punk scene. :( still hurts

nah man gonna give it a miss. Might try and catch FM & LA at soundwave but I have never really listened to either for a long period of time before.

Understandable. I've never listened to LA much but Flogging Molly are on of my fav bands ever and Lucero have been a new favorite for the last three or four years.

Everyone who has seen TLA says they are amazing though.

Just got back from Descendents/souls/jar. was f**king awesome, I'm f**ked, I couldnt help but rock out as hard as possible haha. Bodyjar were as fun as always. Souls were pretty sick but seemed to die off towards the end, but it was hot as f**k in the Eatons Hill venue. From memory they played Gone, Hopeless Romantic, Say Anything, Kate is Great, Lean on Sheena, Sing Along Forever, Kids & Heroes, East Coast f**k You, That Song, Ballad of Johnny X and they finished with True Believers.

Descendents were awesome finally got to hear them with Milo singing! They played so many f**king songs that souls list took me ages so here goes trying to remember this one...descendents, sour grapes, i dont wanna grow up, coolidge, everything sucks, im the one, talking, nothing with you, catalina, thank you, van, i like food, they mixed together weinerschnitzel with No All, Suburban Home, i cant remember the rest they finished with kabuki girl. there was like about 30 songs. oh they did the all-o-gistics. and i kept thinking the parts where they shout ALLLLL, the crowd would sing along, so i kept doing it and noone said shit, i looked like a dickhead haha.

2 nights on and I just got my voice back from Milo and the boys. Such a f**king good gig. Young bands could learn a thing or 2 from those punk rock icons. Such pace and intensity to a show.

Next up for me is Madball and Sick Of It All feb 26th. Can't wait!

Loving all this feedback from the Descendents gig. Been alternating between Descendents, Bouncing Souls and Bodyjar on the mp3 player this week with a bit of Face to Face thrown in.

So keen.
