Anyone going to the Hits and Pits mini festival? Think ill go just to see The Flatliners again because I don't think they will have a chance for a sideshow

I'll be there in Canberra, although I'm kinda disappointed with the organisation for the Canberra show (or at least what I can guess based on what the guys running the festival have said on Facebook). Looks like everywhere will get one main stage and one acoustic stage with almost no overlap, so they get to see pretty much everything. Canberra, according to something I saw on Facebook, will have two stages plus acoustic, meaning, we only get half the show for the same price.

I know I shouldn't complain too much, because hey, Mad Caddies, VGS, Good Riddance etc are coming to f**king Canberra, but when you see how much better it will be elsewhere for the same cost, it's a little annoying.

f**k, I didn't even know they were out here. Gutted. The last thing you forget is such quality. What were they like?

Saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse last night. Soooo f**king good! Take a bow Mr Young, just a legend.

John Doe of X is apparently coming out again. Playing in Melbourne of MArch 28 I'm told.

The last time I saw him was the single greatest gig going experience of my life. Nothing official yet (I got a notification off Bandsintown) but I hope it's true. Will be a nice little entree for Murphys/Utters and Pennywise/Face To Face in the first week of April!

Also going to see The Popes (Shane Macgowan's backing band after he got kicked out of The Pogues) at Northcote Social Club on Thursday.

I know... I track him on bandsintown but for all I know it could be some DJ f**kwit plus there is a band called John Doe which is just sacrilidge. Revolver is a club venue on Chapel Street.

Will check street press tomorrow and hopefully there is something announced.

Wishlist time! GO!

Rancid
Social Distortion
NOFX
lagwagon
TSOL

God there are so many I could name but knowing the warped tours in USA and AJ the punk scene will have maybe 3 genuinely good punk bands on there and the rest will be the shit like Simple Plan or some shit!

Hopefully it isn't a Soundwave clone with lots of hardcore bands with trendy neck tattoos. I'd also want the bill to be accomodating of sideshows. Rancid tops the list but apparently AJ has been trying for YEARS to get them but Tim is still being a little bitch.

The punk I liked from the 90's isnt what sells tickets these days, so dont really expect a great lineup. That's a rubbish lineup.

Also has Tim Armstrong just decided that all australians are responsible for his australian wife leaving him?
