Oops meant for possm
It could be a great idea to have a specialist half like young Flanagan being coached by his Dad like the Clearys are doing at Penrith.
The thing is though, Daddy Flanagan would need to do a refresher job in reserves and boot that Russ Aitken out now or at least in 2023. The following year, Flanno can take Hooks job.

When was the last time we signed a genuine star? This club hasn't had a top 20 player for a very long time, I'm not holding my breath expecting any miracles.

The best approach IMO is to do what they're doing and build from within. Get the young guys ready to replace Ben Hunt and free up cap space for 2024 onwards

Oh, and stay a million mile away from Kyle Flanagan

It has been a deadset future-a-thon following this club. For so many years, we have pinned our hopes on the club signing players that are above average and more so, better than the ones that were signed which we hoped were going to be great for us but became dismal failures like all of the journeymen to make up the numbers and to fit in with our cap. It goes on and on. Where is the wisdom and good judgement that the club has used in all of this?

I'm getting sick and tired like many here I suppose just pinning our hopes of signing this player or that player in the future - it is a repeat every year.

looks like we've locked up some more promising kids from the gong...Wish @George Dragon was still posting so we could get the inside word on them.

Not sure why this is news again as they were signed up 6 months ago.

Tom Kirk is a lanky kid who plays fullback and wing. His height and speed gives him a good chance of stepping up. The highlights of Saturday games show him scoring two tries.
Daniel and Letham are sold forwards who hit hard, still too early to judge them.
All 3 have played schoolboys rep too.

My player to watch is Corey Ackers from Dragons Matts, the kid hits like a axe and is developing some good ball skills. Only 17 but spent the pre season training with the Flegg boys.

Steelers SG player Jacob Webster is a standout, plays similar to Coric and has led the side up front.
Travis Barrett Hancock is also on the radar, always give 100% and is a natural leader can play edge or middle.

While we are at it, Coric has stood up in a poor Ressie side
Shereb has been ok, but hasn't had much chance on the edge with the team going backwards.
Muhleisen defence has been great, he is a solid player but I don't think he is our answer to 9.
Alex Lobb has played Flegg and Ressie and at about 6"4 and putting on some size now, could be a great winger, plus can kick goals.

Cheers all.

Doesn't seem like any one in our "Football dept" knows their arse from their elbow.
And our coaches along with the Board.....are totally incompetent.

Probably because it's from 'the mole'... he's generally about 6 months behind when it comes to what's actually currently going on...

Thanks for the rundown on a few of the boys. Interesting your comments about Muhleisen. He's been mentioned by some on here as our future dummy half. Hopefully the club sort that out as it's a position we need to get more from going forward.

Thanks again mate...I'm sure i speak for most on here when i say your insights have been missed 👍
