If we do get Poore, would that see the Eels shut up shop for next season and maybe focus on retaining a few younger guys? Or do we have something left for some other lower key signings?
great scoop SDM, and good news for the club, we just needed one decent signing to get the ball rolling, hopefully a few more to come.

I think we should release a range of multi-coloured custard similar to dubbel-vla called the "Shack-attack"
Ranga, Blue and gold.....hitting the taste buds...live it ffs.

My mate, who's a rabid Hawks fan, said we're signing Lance "Buddy" Franklin on a 2 year deal. He wants to play fullback for the Eels. Expect it in the news tonight.
Thankgod for thatTried to make me out to be another jerkoff shooting his mouth off.
Now I can move to part 2, the same bloke told me yesterday aswell that Poore is a done deal, but it will take a bit longer to nut out.
MORE?? ... you mean other than shack and poore?Im just praying that the other name he mentioned is also the good word. We need one more.

delaney is on verge of either signing with us or penrith
really?
We need some depth in the centres - and picking up a starting quality player at the position would be great.
thats the talk...altho i can see him being signed more as lock than a centre but his versatility is another strong point

PARRAMATTA have signed Roosters forward Shane Shackleton to three-year deal.
Shackleton is the first of several players Parramatta have been negotiating with in a large recruitment drive by the Eels.
The promising City representative will play out the season with the Roosters.
Eels coach Daniel Anderson said he was delighted to land the versatile second-rower.
"We're obviously very happy to have Shane on board for 2010 and beyond," Anderson said in a statement.
"He broke through for his first representative jumper this year and he'll certainly add some versatility and variety to our pack.
"What's more we feel we've got a quality person, not just a quality player."
The 26-year-old has played 53 games for the Roosters since making his first-grade debut against Brisbane in round 25, 2005.
Acting Eels chief executive Andrew Hill said the signing of Shackleton is a vote of confidence in the team and the club as well as the direction in which both are heading.
"We're looking forward to Shane strengthening our team on and off the paddock," Hill said.
"It's important for the club to be able to attract players of Shane's calibre. We also look forward to continuing negotiations with other players for season 2010."
