You're sure and certain huh? Doust isn't. That's why we signed Moltzen. It's one thing to have faith and it's another thing to do everything in your power to have the best team you can.

disagree with this - Moltzen was actually signed to provide cover for the halves, and utility value - he wasnt signed as a specialist fullback to replace Boyd.
it wasnt until Moltzen started to show form at fullback for the tigers that people started to look at him replacing Boyd.

A hole is a hole.

And you can expect opposition to be making the most of the weakness that exist in our team next year. Even with Moltzen, it'd be asking a lot for us to win the competition.

The St George Illawarra Dragons on Thursday advised both the NRL and Wests Tigers that the Club will not be pursuing the registration of the contract signed by Tim Moltzen for seasons 2012-14.

The decision is based on the knowledge that the Club’s objectives in signing Moltzen would not be achieved - Tim Moltzen’s actions and physical fitness do not meet the Club’s expectations.

The Dragons still firmly believe that Tim Moltzen should have been prepared to fulfil his commitment to the three-year contract he and his manager Martin Tauber signed on July 12.

Furthermore, the Club will be investigating the pursuit of its legal remedies against the Wests Tigers, for damages.

The NRL has indicated that they are to review the agent’s compliance with his obligations under the NRL rules through the Agent Accreditation Committee for Player Managers, an action the Club would support.
Dragons CEO Peter Doust has issued the following regarding the decision on the matter.

“When Tim was told by the Wests Tigers mid-year that he could negotiate with other clubs beyond the 2011 season, Tim and his Manager Martin Tauber were very positive about a move to the Dragons and the multiple conversations and meetings supported their commitments arising from the contract they signed,” said Doust.

“The Club therefore made certain decisions about its roster for 2012, and beyond, around such commitments and there is no doubt that the actions of Tim Moltzen, Martin Tauber and the Wests Tigers have negatively impacted upon our recruitment process and our roster for 2012.

“Over the past week I met with Tim Moltzen and Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys to discuss this situation, believing the Club should not finalise its position until it had spoken “face to face”.

“This meeting confirmed that Tim Moltzen wanted to take advantage of the changed circumstances, presented by Wests Tigers and was not going to honour any of his previous commitments.

“At the same meeting, Tim also revealed that he has been carrying a shoulder problem for most of the 2011 season which he had yet to have addressed, medically.

“He in fact told me that his surgeon had advised that very morning that his shoulder would require six months of rehabilitation.

“The shoulder injury was something that Tim or his Manager had not previously disclosed and something that would have influenced the Club’s decision in July.

“Notwithstanding this decision, the Club will not be rushing into signing a replacement Player, even though Wests Tigers offered to subsidise a Player transfer.”

Tim Moltzen = Public Enemy Number 1.

Let's give him hell when the Tigers come and play at Jubilee.

I was gonna make a sign that says "TIM YOU ARE A merkin!"

Please feel free to provide feedback

The pussy can stay at the cats.

He has cemented himself as the least respected player in the NRL in my opinion.

That stuff about his shoulder is bullshit I reckon.

Just another ploy so the Dragons wouldn't pursue him.

I really hate this merkin now...

Took a while to flush that turd.

Did we just take Moltzen's word on the shoulder thing? It is probably bullshit. He isn't fond of the truth, little Timmy (if that is his real name)

WESTS TIGERS STATEMENT REGARDING TIM MOLTZEN

Wests Tigers

3/11/2011 5:17:09 PM

The St George-Illawarra Club has advised that they will not be pursuing the registration by the NRL of their contract with Tim Moltzen.
Wests Tigers is pleased that this matter has now been resolved and that Tim Moltzen can begin to focus solely on his footballing commitments for season 2012.
The Club has acted in good faith and in line with all NRL rules. Furthermore we have co-operated fully with the Salary Cap Auditor and complied with all requests during the investigation of this matter.
Chief Executive Stephen Humphreys said that he is pleased that the matter has now drawn to a close.
“Whilst the statement released by the Dragons today includes certain inaccuracies, we do not see any merit in publicly debating these items.
“We understand that the Dragons are feeling disappointed and disadvantaged :( but it only serves to reinforce the value of following the generally accepted protocols and procedures that apply in such situations.”

LOL at your CEO. Your club, Tauber and Moltzen have their pants around their ankles. When it goes to court we will have our way with all 3.

Great news for the Dragons. Kyle will be twice the player by the end of the year. Moltzen is a discard, who is enjoying a second chance due to Lui's allegations, and an influential little house mate.
