Tim Moltzen ... (war is over)

Doust was honest in his dealings, no doubt. Ultimately though, I see it as his responsibility to ensure a complete playing roster for 2012. He failed to meet that responsibility and, as CEO, the board should hold him to account. Not a sackable offense, but a failure nonetheless. One that I think he can be forgiven in light of the last few seasons.

Oh please. Wake up to yourself.

So it's nearly Christmas
And what have we got?
We're down an a-grade fullback
And a new one just did a runner

And so this is Christmas
I hope Tim has fun
He's back at the Tigers
And we're short one player

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
I hope Tim has a good one
Without any tears

Mr Humphries Happy Christmas
You flippin turncoat
You've ruined our recruitment
With all your lies

And so happy Christmas
For red and for white
For yellow and black ones
Let's stop all the fight

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any tears (for Tim)

War is over
If you want it
War is over
Now...

F*ck the snot nosed brat.

The thing that really annoys me the most over this whole affair is that we missed out on other good players because that brat signed with us.

Now there is a big hole at the back and we will have to scrape together a stop gap solution for next season until a specialist fullback becomes available.

Man i can't wait until we play the tigers :D:D

The positive is Saints now have some $$$ in their salary cap pockets.

There's been various estimates thrown around on how much he would have earned at Saints, but anything near $250K is too much.

Moltzen's loss IMO.

Tigers in no hurry to re-sign Moltzen
Joe Barton

Wests Tigers fullback Tim Moltzen might have resolved his playing destination for 2012, but his NRL future beyond that is far from secure.
The talented custodian was delighted to hear St George Illawarra would not register the three-year contract he had signed, allowing him to remain with Wests Tigers next season.
But having given up on a guaranteed three-year payday from the Dragons, Moltzen - who could be sidelined for up to six months with a shoulder injury - has been left to sweat on a new deal from the Tigers.
Moltzen comes off contract at the end of 2012, but Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys said the club was in no rush to reward the 23-year-old's decision to turn his back on the Dragons.
"That was clearly a decision Tim made, so that's really not a responsibility for us," Humphreys told AAP.
"Tim has his views on the matter and I think he's expressed those and so that's really all there is to that.
"... We do (have a lot of faith in Tim as a prospect), but (his re-signing is) certainly not something we'll look at until next year.
"We've spoken to Tim and his manager, and they're aware it's not something we'll look at or discuss until next year.
"It's good to have it resolved. I think that's in everyone's best interests."
Humphreys said the decision was a win for everyone who hoped to see one-club players in the NRL.
"One of the things we like to talk about in our game is that players can play at the clubs where they came through rather than be pushed into a draft situation like other codes," he explained.
"One of the good things about rugby league is the players can end up having long careers at the clubs they want to be at.
"From that point of view, I think a lot of people would be pleased that Tim's able to play where he wants to play."

What a loyal bunch they are in Wests Tigers land.

Tauber is overseas and could not be contacted, although rival clubs were bewildered Moltzen wanted to stay at the Tigers with just one year remaining on his deal when there were three seasons on offer at the Dragons.
As one prominent club boss said: "After the way they have dealt with this, who would want to sign him now?"

That prominent club boss could not have put it any better, it revealed his true colors, his stocks have fallen, had he kept quiet it would have been so much better for him.

I hope he's bawling his eyes out this time next year, without a club.

I can't say I would feel sorry for the maggot either, could have done good things at the Mighty Red V but chose to be an imbecile.

pffft when Carney left the Roosters nobody wanted him either .

No doubt this forum was saying similar stuff about Choc when he walked out on the club ... on both occasions .

The saga continues, another backflip from Schultz at Wests Tigers. At least now it's someone else's problem.

lol@Moltz3n. The dill turned his back on a 3 year deal, and gained himself a box of tissues.

And lol@Duck_Dodgers... you didn't think that through too well eh?

Other offers wil be thin on the ground for Tim so the Tigers can get him for nearly nothing. Their indifference is really quite clever , treat em mean to keep em keen

Definitely, although Robert Lui took that a bit too literally*.

Moltzen would have been a capable player but he's no superstar nowhere near it.

Daly ripe for picking at right price: Orr

HE WON a grand final in his rookie year, is touring with Australia, and has been named the best halfback on the planet - but Manly are facing a fight to keep Daly Cherry-Evans.
The manager of Cherry-Evans, Gavin Orr, has warned that he will not hesitate to take the playmaker away from the club if he does not get an upgrade to his $135,000-a-year deal.
There have been suggestions that Cherry-Evans might have an out clause or an option on his deal, which takes him through to the end of 2013, which means the 22-year-old might be a surprise addition to the player market next year.

Orr was tight-lipped on the fine print of the deal, but given that Cherry-Evans has made such a stunning rise to the top tier of NRL players, it is clear he would like his client to have a contract reflecting that.
Melbourne's Cooper Cronk will be off contract at the end of 2012, but Cherry-Evans will no doubt attract similar interest from NRL clubs, whether he is available for 2013 or 2014, given he is the incumbent premiership winning No.7 and now touring with Cronk.
Orr has held preliminary discussions with Manly officials about Cherry-Evans's contract but yesterday he said: ''If they don't look to upgrade in 2012, I can't see Daly wanting to stay.''
Orr said Cherry-Evans could be convinced to follow his coach, Des Hasler, to the Bulldogs, if the club showed an interest.
Many other clubs will be keen to secure a player of Cherry-Evans's calibre, if he is available. South Sydney have been linked with various halfbacks, including Cronk, after losing Chris Sandow to Parramatta. The Storm will be under intense pressure to hold on to Cronk, which means that club might also need a No.7.
Brisbane, too, will have to cope with life without Darren Lockyer and they will no doubt be on the lookout for a halves partner to combine with Peter Wallace should Lockyer's replacements fail to fire. Penrith and Wests Tigers are other clubs that might show an interest.
The Sea Eagles do not deny this and the chairman, Scott Penn, yesterday said he wanted to see Cherry-Evans in a Manly jumper for the rest of his life, but he clearly faces a battle to ensure that happens.
''We're looking at extending him,'' Penn said. ''We've had some very preliminary discussions but, certainly, we want to retain him long term.
''He and Kieran [Foran] are a formidable combination. We'll do everything we can to make sure they're both one-club players. We'd certainly like to see them stay for their whole careers, if possible

I know a club with a loose $280,000
