hes a striker so Neymar in, Benzema Out
Benzema will probably stay as Mourinho is quoted wanting 3 strikers. Unless they get Adebayor and Neymar
Striker, wide right, in behind Higuain. He's versatile enough. Priority position would be striker but he will play anywhere up front
Thanks. Will be interesting to see how he fits in (if we get him), I would venture a guess that if Kaka leaves Neymar might take up that position? Ideally I would have him out wide too but I don't think Mourinho would be foolish enough to drop Di Maria to the bench. I'm excited, regardless.
Under Mourinho we tend to play a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-2-1-3 (whichever one it is technically speaking). Two defensive midfielders, two wingers, an attacking midfielder and a striker; I think Neymar would fit in at attacking midfielder if the others stay in the side (if not, then Di Maria can go to the bench), as Kaka (not so much Ozil I think) plays as a second striker anyway in our line-up.
I'm actually sort of irritated that we have so many players that really all deserve to start, I'd rather have a squad that has a settled starting XI and good depth rather than too many players starved for opportunities when they need them.
On the striker front, I'd dearly love for Benzema to stay and keep Higuain and (if we get him) Neymar as our three main strikers, with Joselu pushing for a spot (he scored on debut last season). But considering we were after Aguero, we reportedly wanted to make Adebayor a permanent move, and we are also chasing Neymar, I'd say Benzema would most likely be leaving, which is a real shame. He was in great form towards the end of this season, I guess it's because he didn't really catch on here.
