Boateng's in the bag..According to Robben's Facebook anyway.
With sources like that I could write for the Daily Mirror..
As good as Sneijder is, I don't really see a new CM/CAM as a priority for the Mancs. Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson, Gibson and Giggs' cameo appearances will be good enough for them to be title contenders once again. With Scholes gone they might actually be able to win a decent tackle.
Seeing what Van Der Vaart did last season makes me think Sneijder will kill it
Exactly, in his first EPL season without a pre-season with us he (VDV) still killed it and was our best or second best player.
If VDV can do it then Sneijder should do it easily, especially in a team that actually has good strikers.
Also, Fox Sports News are saying that Chelsea are now offering 45million for Modric. If that happens, and with the amount of players we are likely to sell, surely we would be able to afford at least a top striker and a very good midfielder to replace him.
For a club supposedly laden with debt to spend 30-40m more on a player after already spending 50m this window is insane. It seems irresponsible spending isn't limited to the blue half of Manchester.
Or maybe it's the jealousy talking.
RvP wont be going anywhere...IMO he's more valuable than Fabregas.
Modric is vastly overrated, judging by the type of cash teams are willing to pay and the fact Tottenham wont take it.
I guess part of the reason they dont want to sell if because Bale will go as well. It's all good selling quality players for big money, but when youre a club like Tottenham(no offence), its tougher to replace those players.
In other news, apparently Real are going to offer 30mil for Van Persie.

If you owned a club would you rather the club spend 70 mil and win 2 or 3 trophies like United, or spend 10-20 mil and win nothing as Arsenal seem to like to do?
Win 2-3 trophies and continue to hemorrhage under a mountain of debt and have to sell players to break even?
You can't blame United for spending big. You're right, I would be delighted if Arsene Wenger spent 70m on players. "Delighted" is an understatement. However it's incredibly reckless and unsustainable. Take into account the EU debt problems, and the US near defaulting, who knows financially what shape United and all 'big spending' clubs will be in in a few years.
