Trial v Parramatta

We've barely been able to get out of our half. While we may not show much in attack if we did. We really havent had many opportunities.

Mixed bag that first half. Discipline sucked with penalties and handling, but ref seemed a bit whistle happy against us while not wanting to blow them against Parra. Penalties shouldnt be that lopsided. But they are and we held on pretty well. Reverse the tables I doubt Eels repel us that well.

We're also missing Mansour, DWZ and Kikau. Pretty crucial metre gainers for us. Not a pretty first half. Or one worth bragging about. But atleast we showed good attitude.

Hell we havent much to gain by throwing everything at them anyway. Its a double edged sword considering we face them round 1.

Yep, it's a trial. I don't care about the score. I don't doubt Cleary's attacking credentials based on this game. I doubt them based on his career to date. :)

I only raised the point because the commentator stated something like "the Panthers not showing much in attack"

Easy to blame the ref but no matter the ref last year we still started poorly. Gotta be the players at some stage

I don't mind players being binned in a trial - it is good practice for defending with 12.

And refs should ref how they will in the season proper so the players can get used to it.

Why aren't both teams being penalised for the same things?

Our discipline is poor. But we get penalised for something Eels get away with. Luckily its atrial and it really helps us in thelong run so long as we dont get raped by them in Round 1 too.

o

What would the possession be? 70/30? How many dropouts have we got? What about tackles in the 20?

You need ball to get even up penalties

If this was 2018 this is when we start to attack. Although Kikau usually was the key to turning it around.

Well turned to shit now although the line-up out there kinda sucks anyway. First half we looked ok defensively. Second half is shit all round.

First half almost like for like with first grade players. Missing of course May, Dallin and Joshie. Parramatta I think were all hands on deck.

Players like Edwards, Cleary only played 40 mins. It's a good bring down to earth for the team.

Jed is not an NRL player. All these guys supposedly ready to replace CHN, Merrin etc. don't look better.

If we had those guys they would easily be in our top 17 round 1.

We have no winger or centre depth. Our bench is a bunch of guys with potential but we can expect inconsistency. Any injuries to our starting 13 and the quality of replacement is a huge drop in quality.

We cant win shit if we lose any of our starting players in 2019.

Parra put the cleaners through the Knights in the corresponding match last year on the way to the spoon. No idea the penalty count in that game but tonight it was quite nasty.

Very one sided. Seems Ivan paid them to make the boys defend.
