Look at what constitutes 'junior rep players', and these labels are handed out pretty freely. I'd be surprised that every club didn't have towards '20 junior rep players'.
it would be nowhere near as free as you're making out. you know that

The cream of the crop however are Australian schoolboys, and melbourne doesn't have smortgage there do they?
i'll wager they're scavenging aound them

Peterson was contracted even before Melbourne had a team. Hsitorically Perth has had a stronger RL presence than Melbourne.
not long ago you were denying any existed

why did you not mention Chambers or Holdsworth?

Last years u18's showed this is changing however.
and how many of theirs were from Melbourne?

No, King is the same as Fui Fui Moi Moi
you were lumping Lyon in the same boat as Fui and King. clearly they aren't even close in comparison

Lyon and Tim Smith is the same as Inglis and Falou, a junior 'plundered' from another club, namely Wee Waa and whatever QLD club.
then you should've said that in the first place

T
hey are all examples of Melbourne development and Parramatta development.
but none are juniors

Because rejects and youngsters share something in common, they get better with development programs.
for rejects it's often a change of club

Development programs don't start at 6 or you miss the boat.. thus we have Moi Moi or King.

Recent history shows Melbourne have a great development program.
not at a junior level

Much like every argument you have put forward.

All you have put forward is an incomplete analysis of your expectation of where the Storm should be.
so you're happy with their progress and chequebook juniors :?

I suggest the $44 billion a year the Storm spend on junior development in Victoria isn't producing any NRL juniors because Victorians are spastics, and no amount of money can ever help these geniuss..... this is just as solid an argument as you have put forward.
not at all. it's been shown they paid plenty for juniors. do you think if they'd spent this money in their own backyard they'd still have 0 juniors playing?

i think otherwise

That comes from the senior team. You don't win the NRL premiership with 15 year olds.

Does anyone win it anymore with 17 local juniors ?

No, they get it from who they believe to be the 'best juniors'.

The this squad of juniors is limited by a salary cap, the money side is an even playing field.
they have had the best start imaginable with their success. this should have helped at a junior level. i'm sure not aLl Vics are twinkies and play AFL

Again, which team has 25 local juniors in their squad ?
none

but which side has none? Melbourne

Victorians are spastics, they won't make NRL squads until some NSW'ers and QLD'ers stay in Victoria and spread their genes around.
i realise they're physically challenged, but people hsve migrated there from other states and have normal children. there's probably even some half breed mutants who can hold a ball, run and maybe even tackle

Storm has had plenty of juniors.
not playing in the NRL

how can the storm spend more on juniors than other clubs when their is a SC in place limiting that? either you understand what the cap does or you dont - right now you dont.

they spend more on poaching juniors

why shouldnt the storm sign juniors from other areas, parramatta do it as well. and they have a healthy RL nursey to pick from as well.

i never said they shouldn't. they should start focusing more on their own area though

have you hit china yet

no, unless you have a source, im going to ignore your useless analogies.

show me a link where the storm spend more on juniors than other NRL clubs, or a link showing no other clubs get juniors from other areas?

otherwise its case closed.

say hi to daddy dennis for me.

Only in El Dumbo world can there be a salary cap about how much each club can spend on juniors, but even with that, the storm spend more on juniors.

this guy is special.

not the english language, just your poor usage of it.

how a club spending players on juniors doesnt fit under the SC only can be explained in El Dumbo world

you are special

it's like talking to a brick wall

you can quite easily spend money buying a few of the top juniors without busting the cap. you just spend less on other players

derrrrr

Victorian Born Storm Players... a stupid stupid story considering the youth of the club.

As I mentioned, it's not important and irrelevant where a player is born, it's where they are developed. Melbourne lead by example in the development of players. Being a junior rep player is still a fair way from first grade standard.

so whats wrong with that then el dumbo?

its the whole idea of a salary cap is to allow other clubs to buy players from their rivals. the first club pays more for the players it wants, and other clubs get the ones the first club cant afford to.

would you like me to explain the SC further to you?

the idea is to spend some money developing your own. especially if you're a newish club like Melbourne

they don't seem interested in this at all

they're having success doing what they're doing. they may as well be based in Queensland

Sounds like ED is jealous that Storm have been around for 50 years less than Eels and already halfway there to having as many trophies as them

you're sounding like Chucky

i have hated the idea of Melbourne since 1998. it was always going to be a waste of time

i don't hate Brisbane and they have more premierships

where is the rule that covers that ?

oh thats right, they arent breaking any rules by doing that!

and since theyve only been around since 1998, do you want them to pick players that are 15 for their first grade side.

you get dumber and dumber.

I'm sure the NRL will be genuinely concerned with your personal feelings of Melbourne, especially with the couple of hundred thousand people that tuned in to watch their team win the premiership this year.
