It still looks set to fail to my eyes - and with Norths holding the license, Perth has everything to lose in the worst case scenario.

Even if the NRL stipulates the licence can't be brought back to Sydney, Norths could threaten to move it to Adelaide, Christchurch, heck where-ever if they get fed up with Perth.

You again fail to understand, there is no perth, its no different to campbelltown is to the tigers or bathurst is to the panthers, or gosford was to the northern eagles, only difference is that the bears are wanting and willing to take 10 games there (as they should, if they want back in the NRL as an expansion option) the NRL want new markets, and don't want start up franchises, the bears are a front runner, as would any cashed up QRL or NSWRL side wanting to setup up, and PVL wants the bears re-reinstated, as long as it ticks the new market box... i wouldn't be suprised if newtown jets start a bid to re-enter via Adelaide, Nz, etc some time in the next decade

Perth can stand on its own, Bears can f**k off to Adelaide or christchurch or Rockhampton that cant sustain an NRL club on its own.


That's easily solved by ensuring the NS LC holds the copyright control over the brand. Sure Perth could in theory dump the Bears brand for something else in years to come but why would they if its working well? Worse case scenario it goes tits up, the club closes its doors, NS LC keep the Bears brand rights, NRL decides what it wants to do with the license. That's their safeguard, it doesnt need them to own the club.

A merger with the Bears, or Perth based Bears bid, would be a monumental mistake, but it doesn't matter because there's next to no chance that it happens. Both parties will demand to be the dominant member and at that point talks will disintegrate.

Because they clearly have no interest in WA and only interest in getting their hands on a license. I suspect they havent even considered partnering with a WA consortium and epxect they can win the license on their own lol. Doesnt take Einstein to see where that would take us. Id rather wait another twenty years than get a sydney club that pssed off after a few.

WA Govt dont care who gets the license, they'll back whoever is the chosen ones. I suspect Vlandys sent them to the Bears to shut the Bears up and stop them being idiots with this THE Bears NSW nonsense. Our consortium's got this.

We'll do same as Dolphins, sign a squad and a load of youngsters from other NRL clubs, and sign pathway agreements with two QRL clubs. Good enough for Dolphins, good enough for us!

Because they want to play 2 to 4 games at NSO. Sure, if hypothetically they are away games then fair enough but they are implying that they are home games. That seriously wouldn’t work

and that 2-4 then becomes 6 when the stadium agreement with WA govt runs out, then as more and more perth fans and businesses abandon the mockery of a club it becomes 8 at NS oval before the Bears determine that Perth just isnt viable and they'd be better moving 6-6 to CC and NS Oval in around 2035.
