He has less try assists
More offloads then all 3
more line breaks than all 3
Has a better tackle % than Olam

However the side needs Cogger in. As a result Garner needs to play over Hosking and Peachey

Garner is not a much better defender, thats the point i was making, you all think he is good coz you seen him at the wests tigers in at centre, but he grabs air most cases, i went to the WCC at the start of the year, and he had let 3 line breaks get thru, luai just didn't trust him after that. again he was at backrow for that game, but he aint a centres arsehole, why else would Ivan plonk hosking there a month ago. When garner would've been the obvious option..
Not sure why we need him over hosking, who is a much better defender wherever he needs to be played

I never took any notice of him at the Tigers. To the extent that I thought he played back row there.

My opinion is based on what I see.

Forget the WCC, Garner has now been in our system for a season. That’s huge.

I didn’t say he was a good defender, I said he was a better defender than Peachy.

I love Hosko, but Garner is a better centre than he is.

What is easier to teach x factor or defence?

There wouldn't be a player that can't defend, In Peachey's case he has played Origin. You get to NRL level then you can defend

So it isn't like you have a giant hole if you go the attacking player, It is what fits the side best

Fullbacks are an example, No way Ivan picks Walsh or Ponga over a fullback that does the hard stuff
