You can always troll... it works for me..
But i also selfishly want the Reds back.. and the Rams.. just feel its a better feel good story, if they returned as they were, and the NRL admitted that the idots running the game back then didn't cut them off.. same as the bears, but Sydney being heavily populated with clubs, something had to give, there definitely could have been way better mergers than there was tho
Gonna be Interesting, potentially there could be 4 rival bids for perth if they put it out to open tender

WC Pirates
WA Reds
Perth Qoukkas
The something Bears

Would the geographical name Western State work?
I’d personally go with The Western State Quokkas

There’s already West coast, Western, and Perth geographical names teams. So Western State
Would at least be unique. Also calling them WA wouldn’t make sense if your looking into the future and wanting them part of SOO.

They shouldn't have "WA" as part of a club name. Nor should they incorporate West Coast either. It sounds like a club from another code.

And NZ Warriors should revert back as Auckland Warriors once a second NZ team comes in.

What's wrong with just Perth?s

there’s a strong RL community in regional WA, half our clubs in fact. A name that represents the state rather than just the city would be more inclusive.

That logo's still floating about in cyberspace?! I designed that years ago before the WA Reds re-branded as West Coast Pirates. It was meant to be a new take on the classic Western Reds logo and less cartoonish than that one and the WA Reds logo that was current at the time.

Nice to see it again. I'd forgotten about it!

Great weekend of Rl action in Perth last weekend with the annual Harmony Cup Nines on. Just gets bigger every year and this year we had 60 sides and over 1300 players taking part!

Now that the Wildcats are owned by SEN, I wonder if they would look to bid or be involved with the NRL bid
Maybe, depends on how much risk they see it as a new start up. Buying a hugely successful established club like Wildcats for just $8.5mill is pretty low risk.

What's the team going to be called?

West of the Eucla-Kununurra Demarcation Red Pirate Bears? Really need to get the name sorted if they're serious.
