Critical from WA to produce talent into the future and support a professional team.

The old chicken and the egg ... I'd wish the WA Government would jump first. At least commit to it subject to a NRL license.
Hopefully they are and its all in the bid.

Should the Perth side be called the Perth Jet Bears, the West Coast Bear Jets or Perth-Sutherland Bear Sharks?

Brisbane has 1.6 professional rugby league teams

How did you come up with "1.6"?

Im sure its no coincidence the only sport not to have a professional team in perth is also the only one not to have had a govt funded training centre and hq built!

What's your point?

Perth RL has no one in the private sector willing to fund the game?

A Perth-based NRL team will need to be funded by the WA Gov?

The Brisbane Tigers managed to build a high performance training centre. Only 11% of the cost was funded by the Qld Gov. They play in a semi-professional competition.

Its only relatively recently that NRLWA moved out of the cupboard under the stairs offices at HBF park lol. Between the negligence of the NRL and the WA govt its amazing the game here even exists.

It's the ARLC's fault that rugby league in Perth is a minority sport?

Why on Earth would the ARLC put a team in Perth when the WARL is a basket case?

There is no WARL. The ARLC took over and call it NRLWA. So why would the ARLC fund it own organisation? If that the question?

Question … does the Perth NRL bid team have the rights to utilise the nick name “Pirates “?
West coast pirates already exists and is already an established brand, im sure theyll just continue to carry that over if thats the plan

A group called the Pirates Rugby League Club Pty Ltd own the West Coast Pirates brand, whom are a subsidiary of the NRLWA, which is owned by the NRL.

I can't imagine that the NRL would prevent a Perth based NRL side from using the Pirates brand if they so choose.

Yeh with pokies lol

Point is the wa govt clearly is supporting codes that commit to perth. mind you when a games leader calls you a waste of money you can hardly blame them for ignoring rugby league can you?

Carry thay over from where though?
Wa's SG ball side, should be back in action soon enough, most likely to get the 20th licence, after the Everywhere/Anywhere Bears get 19th,

quick side question, if there was an area that would definitely need representation, like for the next 2 licences where would you base them???

My answer: Vic2 and WA...
The next licence basically covers the Pacific,
SEQ4 is a nice to have, Nz2 is also a nice to have but those areas are already represented,
SA, NT, TAS is meh and probably not worth it,
And NSW is pretty much covered, that really leaves Another Melbourne side, and Perth,
...game on!!!
