If a "well run club" equates to the same advantages the Storm were gifted then it's a pie in the sky dream. What happened with the Storm will never be replicated.
The Force averaged 27k fans at Subiaco during their early years. If that wasn't enough to warrant an upgrade of Perth Rectangular Stadium to 30k -- with modern facilities -- then I fail to see how an NRL club will change things. You're just going to have to place the blame for Perth's poor infrastructure where it belongs. The WA Gov. You won't lay the blame where it belongs because it goes against your anti-NRL/pro-Perth agenda.
If the WA Gov is serious about an NRL licence -- and the three sports that will benefit from a modern rectangular stadium -- then it would have upgraded PRS years ago. It's not the NRL's job to bring the WA Gov into the 21st century.
Why hasn't te WA Gov pulled its finger out and finished the upgrade?
@Bukowski is always gloating about how much money is in Perth. Try using some of it to bring the city into the 21st century.
Why hasn't the WA Gov built one?
If the northern stand can stay because you like it then stop criticising Sydney grounds for having hills.
Calling it a dump is an accurate description of what it is.
The Queensland Gov spent money on QEII Stadium 20 years to convert its bench seats to bucket seats and improve its infrastructure. It didn't change the fact it was -- and still is -- a dump. Lang Park also received plenty of upgrades between the 1980s and 2001. It was still a dump until it was demolished and rebuilt. You just cannot accept any criticism of Perth's flaws. When people point out where Perth is behind you resort to calling them "ignorant" for refusing to turn a blind eye. You don't hesitate to bad mouth every other city for its shortcomings. But when it's Perth everyone has to pretend it's all rosy.
It should have been converted into a modern stadium 15 years ago when the Force were pulling 27k at Subiaco.
