What if Jarryd Hayne doesn't make the 49ers cut? Will he return to the NRL?

Doing nothing and the 49ers are getting flogged. Hayne benched for the 4th qtr and it coincides with the 49ers scoring most of their points. Lol, perhaps the circus is beginning to unravel already.

Well they did only give him 3 carries, 2 when Hyde came off injured. It was a weird way to use him and might not bode well for him, or maybe they were just trying out Davis. Who knows.

I thought he may have been used more. For mine the 49ers see him as no more then their 3rd running back who can offer something on special teams.

So about 2 rushes for 4 yards and one punt return for 7 yards... nice way to spend the prime of your career Jarryd!

What a waste of talent he'll be.

Gotta agree.

He could have been a legend of rugby league and unless he comes back very soon I think he is going to waste the best years of his football life being a nobody on the NFL bench .... and horribly enough that may tarnish his legacy.

He is now finding out that pre-season NFL is a totally different game than real NFL.

Sorry guys, I think the dream may be over. I was optimistic about what Hayne could potentially bring to Rugby League in the U.S if he made it big over there, and he was looking likely for awhile, but it seems either the general shittiness of the Niners or the big stage of NFL have grounded the Hayne Plane.

I suspect he will ask for a release towards the end of the NFL season, probably when the Niners are well and truly done. He'll be back in the NRL before pre-season or shortly after it begins.

Bit strange he put in Davis ahead of him in second half. Getting well beat he had nothing to lose seeing how he went with more game time. Davis was crp anyway.

Davis is a rookie too.

They need to get him ready to be backup for Hyde if he goes down.

Did you guys seriously think Hayne was going to be a star straight off the bat?

He's done a great job to even make the roster this early, he was expecting to be in the practice squad this year. He knew it wasn't going to be easy, he's not going to give up after two games.
