What Movies Have You Seen III

Watched The Post on Netflix.

Hanks and Streep showing why they are both absolute legends of their craft.

Worth watching if you like the genre

Watched it recently. What is otherwise not the most engaging story, albeit related to an important moral conundrum, made worth watching by them two.

I watched I Am Legend for about the tenth time last night. It’s not the best flick and Will Smith is an average actor, but it’s one of those movies that if it happens to be on, I’ll usually watch it.

It was even more attractive seeing New York isn’t far off it (sarcasm, but not really) these days.

Watched pulp fiction for the first time last night. Movie of moments but wow those moments just glue you to your seat and are intense. The rest is a bit of a drag though but watchable.

Rewatched The Castle. Great movie obviously but 1 thing that got me was when Wayne made Darryl an ashtray in prison Darryl says "but I don't smoke."

Darryl meets Lawrence Hammill outside court when he goes for a smoke.

Interesting point, you’re right in that Forever gets a bit of a free pass despite how shit it is. Probably because Batman & Robin was twice as bad and this was before the age of keyboard warriors.

Yes, Batman & Robin really takes the attention away from its predecessor, & that’s a shame, because both deserve to be trashed until kingdom come.

It’s popular to bash on Tommy Lee Jones in that movie, but not only is Jim Carrey quite debatably worse (he makes me want to slit my wrists here), he was really the driving force behind Jones’ own awful performance.

Typical Tarantino .
Great scenes .10 mins
Good drama 15 mins
Plodding storyline 20 mins
Extreme violence 5 mins

Its old movie trivia the lee absolutely hated carey during this production. The more tommy tried to tell him to pull his head in and be a professional the more carey the more ridiculous carey made his character

This was right after The Mask, so you can imagine how much the studio & Schumacher would have been encouraging Carrey. I think it led to Jones going off the deep end, really.

Yesterday

Nyaw, that was nice. I’m a Beatles fan so it was a bit like shooting fish in a barrel but good performances nonetheless. You’ve still got to execute and you wouldn’t want to balls that one up.

4 spuds.

Warrior. Wanted to see this for years and finally got around to it. So good, didn’t disappoint. Great performances, tough fights and some emotional moments, all make for one great movie.

Crawl. Heard good things about this and it was ok. I went in expecting it to be more than it ended up being, but for what it was it was good.

I watched "Conan the Barbarian" for the first time yesterday. Better than I thought it would be. Arnie had that charisma way back in 1982. Arnie may not be the greatest actor to ever grace the silver screen but he was often smart enough to pick roles that he could handle.

Just came on here to post about Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and this pretty much just sums it up exactly.

Loved the scene at the Mason Ranch but there is just so much waffle in and around it.
