Watched the new point break. f**king terrible. The action sports scenes were cool but apart from that this movie shouldn't have been made.

Some hippy bs criminals being one with the earth? Pfft give me Reeves and Swaze any day of the week

The Good Dinosaur - another quality Pixar film that tugs at the heart strings.

Foxcatcher - Excellent. One of Carrells best performances imo. Tatum and Ruffalo were both great too.

Pretty much my thoughts too.

Swayze's Bodie was very charismatic and you could understand why Utah might buy into his sh*t. But this guy was like a plank of wood. In fact, the whole cast is pretty terrible and you feel absolutely nothing for them.

Unsurprised that Point Break is awful. The trailer looks brutally bad. Like Fast & the Furious meets Ferngully.

disappointing to hear that point break is bad because i was looking forward to seeing it. i might still check it out because there have been times where people haven't liked a movie, but i did.

Well it's visually stunning at times and the action scenes are quite good, so there's that. Unfortunately the story and cast are a poor comparison to the original.

Watching Multiplicity right now.

I remember liking it as a kid, but damned if it's not just kind of bland.

4/10

Watched the big short. Quite a good movie. Didn't have high expectations on it given its subject but it really had some great performances.

Ant-man... I wanted to like it, I really really did but it's just so dumb. I rate Paul Rudd but I never believed him in this role, I honestly don't even think he believed himself never looked comfortable.

And that girl was horrible.

The original had such a simple plot and reasoning behind why they were stealing the money etc but this just made it stupid and then every time Bodie opens his mouth...its some philosophical shit about being one with the earth etc.

Saw a couple last night.

The Cabin in the Woods - Quite enjoyed this one.

Van Wilder - never understood the fuss about Tara Reid back then, still don't...

The original Point Break was a pretty bad movie.
It's heaps of fun and I still enjoy watching it, but if it was released today I would probably not like it.
I haven't seen the new one, but I can't imagine it's as stupid as the old one.

Caught up on a few movies that i have missed over the years

The theory of everything- 8/10, movie really surprised me, felt so sorry for jane when stephen picked the nurse over her after everything she had done for him.

American Sniper- 5/10. So overrated, wasn't a bad movie but wasn't anything special

The interview- 7/10 had low expectations on this, especially with seth rogen in it but it was surprisingly funny in a stupid way

Chappie- 7/10 another movie with low expectations after reading so much bad press about it but it was surprisingly charming

Ratatouille- 9.5/10 do not know why it took so long to see this one, it's a classic, i laughed all the way through it
