Putting it out there but has anyone heard of QLD Cup coach Jason Demetriou? He has steered the Northern Pride to a grand final in the QLD Cup and looks like getting another minor premiership under his belt this year. His winning % is huge, up above 70% I heard, and led the QLD residents to their solid win over NSW this year. Would have a few big North Qlders keen to come down too.

Taylor took Parra to the finals when appointed interim coach
He took Souths to their first finals series in 20 years in his first season.
He was punted for an off-field incident, not for his coaching results.
He took the Roosters NYC to the finals both years in charge
As assistant to Roosters NRL, he helped win a comp in his first year.

But yeah, he's done nothing.

Pffft, whatever. Mary's won 5 games from 9 and runs a successful business.

I think Souths made a big mistake letting JT go like they did. From all reports he was mucking around with Fa'alogo, who simply snapped. Maybe it was pent up aggression at being benched or chastised at training throughout the year, who knows...but ones things for certain, Taylor wasn't asking for it. It was also 5 years ago, so you'd think he would have matured a lot in that time. He would be bringing a lot of the successful systems over from the Roosters too.

As much as I would us to sign JT, I would also be happy with Daniel Anderson. Any coach that takes the Warriors to a GF is doing something right, because lord knows how hard they can be to coach. I like his brand of football, but he has been out of action for some time, and has been known to get players off side...I just think the club needs to look outside of itself for the answer, because Mary is simply another Price in my opinion.

Daniel Anderson is like a B grade version of Brian smith. Good at losing gf's, then it all turns to shit.
JT should be considered.
Also this Farrah/tigers saga has got me thinking perhaps sheens is not such a bad proposition, maybe for 2 seasons. Up until 2012, he was neck and neck with Bennett having coached most nrl games in history.

Sheens settles dispute with Wests Tigers

As the current Wests Tigers coach fights for his future, his predecessor has finally had some resolution with the NRL club.

Almost two years after being sacked close to the end of the 2012 season, Tim Sheens on Friday night reached agreement with the club following a long-running dispute over his dismissal.

He was contracted until the end of 2013 but wasn't paid since last July.
Sheens subsequently planned to sue the club over his axing and the case was to be heard in the NSW Supreme Court in December.

However, Sheens - who coached Wests Tigers to their first premiership in 2005 - said in a statement that he was "pleased to have the dispute resolved and to put the matter behind me".

Sheens was reportedly seeking as much as $1.5 million in lost income and damages.

Wests Tigers chairman Mike Bailey paid tribute to Sheens for his service of more than 11 years.

"Tim developed and nurtured a vast talent pool into some of the league's frontline players," said the joint statement.

"He was instrumental in the club's success and harnessed talent such as Benji Marshall, Robbie Farah, Aaron Woods and a host of others.

"The decision to move to a new coach was about a need to regenerate and had nothing to do with alleged discontent amongst the players.
"Tim has a proven track record and would be an asset to any club. He will always be revered at the club, though he has moved on."

After sacking Sheens, the Tigers appointed Mick Potter as his replacement.
They finished second last in his first year in charge and, as they struggle to make the top eight this season, Potter's future has caused a number of squabbles involving players, past and present, and senior club management.

OK, now the decks are cleared and if Doust is serious about appointing a good and well experienced coach, there will be movement at the station.

If it is purely economics, it will be Mary or some other cheapy.

My shopping list:
Coach - Sheens
Prop - Kasiano and Ryan James

So the second most successful coach in the last 30 years is available, and by the look of his settlement from the tigers, will probably come reasonably cheap.......ummm, just wait a minute until we think about it......still thinking....wait until we do a review.....then a review of the review....then some more thinking...

MacGregor has had his chance...time for someone outside the club who can attract quality forwards who instill fear in the opposition.
