What a coward.
That's true.
Lyon is a strange one. For whatever reason, the drive he has to perform for his club just isn't there at the rep level.
In another one of these articles about Lyon from a while back they talked about how he was over the travelling and all the rest of it and didn't want to spend any more time away from his family and home life than he needs to.
Maybe to him it's all just footy and he's sick of the bs and doesn't have anything to prove.
You can respect him for being up front about it. If he doesn't want to play, that's fine, don't play. At least it's not this bullshit where they were trying to pick him when he clearly didn't want to be there, that was truly f**king ridiculous.
foolWhat a coward.
He has been a quality centre for years (since he played for Australia) and why he hasn't been made more welcome by NSW (pre- his leaving the NRL) and thus a fixture is a mystery to everyone but NSW.

He was welcomed with open arms, and Ricky Stuart even begged him to come back.
It would pay to read the article at hand.
Lyon said he didn't like getting criticised for his shit performances, so he had a cry and went home, never to play again. Being dominated by Greg Inglis game in game out wouldn't be my idea of a fun time either. He's a pea heart. Talented, but a pea heart.
He did ok against Inglis in the 2008 GF.
And this relates to State of Origin how exactly? :sarcasm:
