As I said in another thread and was ignored....

is 2001 too far in the past to remember?
The Roosters made the Grand Final in 2000 and still got crowds of only 4 figures to no less than 5 home games. So the statistics actually do show that your crowds often struggle.

In 2001 Easts had the fifth highest crowd averages.

Where are you being critical of the other nine clubs?

Yes these 'fans' seem to ignore the truth and facts and come up with some lame excuse... 'Oh umm, all the other teams are a one team town and umm we were too busy sipping lattes on the shores of bondi  '

But as sportsjock said.. Your crowd figures fluctuate.. You will get a 25,000 crowd to a game against a top team where all ur bandwagoner poser fans turn up then you will get a sub 10,000 crowd to a game where the true fans turn up..

Once again. this isn't about averages, it's about consistency.

in 2002, the year you won the competition, you had 4 figure crowds at 7 games, including 4 in a row!
I'm not having a go at you OR the Roosters, but you claimed the facts didn't support the argument. and here are the facts that do.

With the Roosters listing their crowd yesterday as over 10,000 , I think its safe to throw out the stats anyway

The Roosters have a very professional front office. Since tax is paid on gate receipts do you really think they'd last long over-stating their income?

Not a very professional front office if they are paying tax on gate receipts! Great justification.

Income minus operational expenditure, interest, depreciation, amortisation

As a football fan first and foremost, I attended the Roosters v Warriors game in 2002. There was a small crowd then, and we all know the type of footy the two teams were playing that year.

I was there too. 18186 is not what you'd a call a small crowd. Easts belted them that day by over 40 points. It was overcast and nearly raining.

But don't let facts get in the way of your little rant.

Why would anyone over state their income?

Nice try.

Averages isnt the argument here.. It is consistancy.. The roosters go from a 26,000 crowd to a 10,000 crowd... Its pathetic considering how successful they are.

I'm simply stating facts by posting the OFFICIAL figures CH. Argue semantics amongst yourselves. At the end of the day despite fluctations the Roosters games are well supported both home and away.

No.. They are well supported away as every teams fans turn out because they want to beat the roosters as they are the 'benchmark'.. At home is another story.. As i will state again a crowd of 10,000 on a perfect sunday afternoon at a great stadium is just not good enough...

So every other team gets a good crowd against the Roosters because they want to see them lose, but at the SFS they're all away fans?

You make absolutely no sense.

No wonder you're a gun nut.

And people want us dead?

The #2 team in terms of support within the NRL, H&A
The #1 team in merchandise.

I think they should just be better managed then see them bark! Scarey to think of the support if they behaved themselves.

The average roosters home crowd so far this year is 14,161,

So that being the case, and PP pointing out the home AND away averages, it is safe to say you draw 4,000 more AWAY from home than you do at HOME?

I wonder how many teams can lay claim to that brilliant effort

The issue is still being lost.

It is safe to say Ed Burton totally gets it, and everyone else misses the point.
