Majella Coonawarra Cab Sauv 2009. Liquid blackcurrant jam, very little tannin but that which is left still has good grip. Finishes off with a rather big hit of mint. A very strange wine.
Got back a couple days ago, jeez we had the car packed. Had to get a few cases sent home.
Ended up getting the below in multiple bottles. The wine fridge is well and truly stacked for a while, kinda makes me happy.
Yarra valley
De Bortoli Old Boys 21 Port, Single Vineyard Section A8 Syrah, Single Vineyard Section A5 Chardonnay,
Coldstream Hills
Coldstream Hills Reserve Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, The Esplenade Pinot Noir, Deer Farm vineyard Chardonnay
Rutherglen
Campbells
The Empire (port), Grand Rutherglen Muscat, The Brothers Shiraz, Bobbie Burns Shiraz, Reserve Shiraz, Sparkling Shiraz,
Rutherglen Estates - wasn't that impressed with their reds.
Classic Muscat, Single vineyard Pinot Grigio, Moscato (for our daughters)
Orange
Philip Shaw The Gardener pinot gris, The Idiot Shiraz, Philip Shaw No.11 Chardonnay, Philip Shaw No.89 Shiraz,
Bellarine Peninsular
Scotchmans Hill
Cornelius Single Vineyard Pinot Noir, Cornelius Single Vineyard Chardonnay, Cornelius Single Vineyard Syrah.
Makes me thirsty mmmmmmmm
Got myself a gossips sweet lips moscato, probably one of the best drops going.
A long way to go and still no Barossa Valley
I used to live on the Bellarine Peninsula
Gossips pales in comparison to Sunstone Fruity White!
shame it wasn't around when I was there, never heard of it
I been through the Barossa Valley, I wanted one of everything I tasted
You know you're in trouble that when the best wine shop in Tamworth is BWS...
