Touche - an even worse comeback than I was expecting from someone of your stature, Jimbo. That truly was Surely or Sharkies All The Way-esque.

You'd have to ask the people of the Illawarra. They were the ones dead keen to form the Joint Venture with us. Guaranteed NRL football, a massive fan-base, plenty of funding. None of the things that Cronulla could bring to the Central Coast.

If Illawarra had of went it alone (which they should have given Souths' successful court action), they would have had 12 NRL games a year, instead of half that. They definitely got the rough end of the pineapple, and football on the South Coast will forever be poorer for it.
