Is anyone else seeing something possible here that would be epic and that would be a stable called the status quo with triple h and cena joining forces, john lauranitis is in it and stuff like that. and Punk (the voice of the people) takes them on. this could be awesome if they do it right. f**k cena/rock at wm, this would be the biggest thing in 10 years.
Sounds like a re-hash of the Corporation but it would be epic if they could sell it as a smark program. I have zero faith in the writing team though.

Why does Cena need the belt for his match against Rocky to draw? I can't see how it really matters.

Keep the belt on Punk and have him feud with Triple H.

This, plenty of big mania matches in the past have main evented or been the biggest draw despite not being for the title.

Cena/Rock doesn't need the title, the title could use Cena/Rock though.

Only if the Rock will return full time after the match. Having him come in for one night and fight for (and possibly win) the title undermines the title (and entire main event scene) in my opinion.

It's a fair opinion to have.

My stance has definitely softened in the advent of Punk/HHH's little stand off and I'm fine with them competing for the championship. It's a lot better than say, having Morrison/Miz for the Championship and essentially looking like a mid-card match against all the other main events.

The thing is, I couldn't see Rock/Cena hurting the championship. The storyline came about because Cena challenged The Rock, if he holds the championship then it's a convinience. And considering this is a company where, anybody can interupt a match signing and sign themselves to the Mania main event, then this is fairplay in my book.

It doesn't matter (no pun intended). I'm trying to think like WWE booking, and John Cena vs The Rock for the WWE Title would be huge for Wrestlemania. I think Punk will eventually face HHH, but I think it will be in some form of grudge match, like No Holds Barred, No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere, etc.

They need to stretch the eventual HHH/CM Punk match out another 18 months imo. Have him take the strap from Cena clean at Summerslam, with the Cena turn happening the next night on Raw (see: Bret Hart 1997). In the mean time, Punk fends off a few lower level cats before facing off with Del Rio and Cena at Survivor Series in a tripel threat match, with Cena brawling with The Rock (who is in the front row tonight) inadvertantly eliminating himself from the match as they brawl all through the arena and do heaps of crazy stuff. Punk defeats Del Rio narrowly, Punk still claims he's the best wrestler in the world. Del Rio wins the Rumble. Fast forward to Mania, Punk faces Del Rio in a last man standing match, and just as Punk goes to stand up at the count of 9, Triple H (at ringside by this point) nails him with a sledge hammer, costing him the belt and signalling the beginning of the new era.

Not a bad idea, But not with the writing team they have now, Look at WCW in 96/97 when they had Sting stalk the nWo for 12 months(Still cant believe Eric held off that long) The fued with Sting and Hogan at Starcade 1997 was built up beautiful but then at the PPV it was match was really bad and HOGAN went over STING CLEAN!!, The whole match was a mess and they even send out Bret Hart to save it, But all it did was make Sting look really weak.

The Build up and The Match has to be good like they did at MITB, They have to do that with HHH and Punk for it to work, The fountain is there (Doofus Son in law and laying in bed with your wife etc etc) HHH can bring it, HHH without a doubt was the best heel on any roster in 99,00 and 01 untill he got injured and i feel HHH didnt have a good match in 10 years until he battled the Undertaker this year, HHH in the ring is a great story teller he actually made you believe he could break The Undertakers steak
and CM Punk is the hottest thing in Wrestling atm, CM Punk Vs HHH would be a great fued, Hopefully WWE doesnt drop the ball.

I can't see John Cena doing something like that (the guy was doing "fruity pepples" ha ha jokes 3 months ago). I like the idea of CM Punk being the foil of HHH in crowning a sole WWE Champion, but as a feud I still think it will be hot-shoted. Cena, I believe, will be the Undisputed WWE Champion by the Royal Rumble and take that into the match with The Rock at Wrestlemania, with Punk facing HHH.

But here is one for you ***MH***, what if Cena becomes Undisputed WWE Champion, but Punk ends up winning the Rumble to make the match with Cena + The Rock a Triple Threat for the WWE Title. Just thinking since Punk + Rock had their sparring match over Twitter + Facebook over headlining Wrestlemania. Probably reading too much into it.

Triple H announced a special guest referee for the SummerSlam main event

With only six days to go before one of the most historic nights in WWE history, Triple H dropped another bomb on the WWE Universe — the Undisputed WWE Championship Match between WWE Champion John Cena and WWE Champion CM Punk will have a special guest referee.

Believing that a bout of this magnitude is too important to risk outside interference or underhanded maneuvers, WWE’s Chief Operating Officer revealed that he’s enlisted the help of the one man he knows who can get the job done right — himself.

As if that wasn’t enough to stir up the WWE Universe, Triple H then announced that Cena and Punk will sign their SummerSlam contract tonight.

I'm starting to feel that my CM Punk+Cena heel alliance prediction against HHH is plausible. This announcement today definitely promotes the possible opportunity for an attack on HHH.

I'm loving this "Reality" Era.... "Mine went straight to DVD. Just like yours." I don't think I've laughed that hard at a line in the WWE for quite a while.

Epic finish to Raw, Punk and HHH seem to have good chemistry together on the mic, and Cena was also very good there (minus a few patches where he reverted to classic Cena). Very smarky finish though, from both Cena and Punk.

WWE has always done that, and it's primarily for advertising purposes. The 1st hour used to be "Raw is War" with the 2nd being "Raw Zone". Now the 1st hour is "WWE Raw" and the 2nd hor is "Raw Zone"
