Apparently there was an announcement of a surreal life reality show with WWE legends. That's the extent of it.
Raw was simply 'ok'.
Triple H took it upon himself to accept TNA's challenge and cut a loooong opening promo where he basically called out Kevin Nash. Nash ended up blind siding him and Triple H sold it like death. When the ambos came to take him off to hospital, Nash appeared again and attacked an immobilised Triple H and that was the first 30 minutes of the show.
Randy Orton & Sheamus defeated Cody Rhodes & Christian in an ok tag match. Only thing of note here was the botch at the end where Sheamus' brough kick connected with Rhodes' knee as he was coming off his springboard kick. They ended up finishing the match with a Celtic Cross. This would be the theme of the night.
John Cena bursted into Johnny Ace's office and demanded to face Awesome Truth. Ace agreed but only on one condition, that he could choose a tag partner, that person ended up being Zack Ryder.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Santino Marella in a squash. After the match Jack Swagger hit the dreaded ankle lock spot before the Incredible Hulk made the save.
Alberto Del Rio then came out and gloated about his victory over John Cena yesterday. This brought out CM Punk who reminded Alberto that they haven't faced for the championship 1-1. Alberto responded, telling Punk that he lost last night and that he doesn't face losers. Johnny Ace came out, said he'd grant Punk the shot IF Punk would tell everybody then and there he respected Johnny Ace. After Punk did a few faux announcements which included a few inside references (Marlins will appreciate one), Ace told him he'd announce Alberto's opponent next week. The segment ended with Punk attacking Alberto before Ricardo made the save and ate a GTS.
Alicia Fox defeated Natalya with a flukey roll up.
Wade Barrett defeated John Morrison. Solid back and forth match but the ending was once again botched. Barrett attempted to catch Morrison off a springboard move but couldn't keep his balance. He then got back onto his feet and hit the move then.
Michael Cole had a typical heel segment where he displayed embarrassing doctored photos of JR which made light of his weight. He then announced next week, the two would go 1-1 and if he lost, he'd quit the WWE.
Zack Ryder never made it out to the main event as Awesome Truth attacked him before the match. Typical handicap match that ended in a dq after Truth brought out the dreaded water bottle of death. This pissed Johnny Ace off and he stormed the ring and told Cena he could name a tag team partner for Survivor Series, which again was slightly botched. So for the benefit of GIF enthusiasts I bring to you...
