You can be good. But you need to be better than the bloke you're trying to replace. If the incumbent is in the leadership group, fringe origin and a consistently proven high performer, that's just how it is possm my dear boy

1. in the leadership group - Only because Mary loves him. And no reason to be dropped.
2. Fringe Origin player - you are kidding - Freddie will not pick him whilst he can't pass and gets caught out in defense against the best sides.
3. Consistently High Performer - the fact that he has not made a miss read in defense in two games ( Dogs and Manly). Also he has not broken the line, yes he scored a barge over try, and good on him he is good at that, but other parts of his game are really displayed. I recall a game a few weeks ago when he pass to his winger and I had to check it was EA. Also the winger got a sock and luckily held the ball.

each time he plays I do cheer him on and hope he works out his defensive reads, but after more than two years he has not improved. A spell in CC will help him out and let him know he has things to work on.

Lomax imo brings more to the table at the moment than Aitken.
Superior vision in attack.
Composure in defence & attack.
Appears to enjoy the big moments.
And obviously goal kicking.
Anyway he may get a bit more time against the roosters if Mitchell again schools Aitken. But knowing L plate he’ll just leave Aitken there & possibly give Zac a few minutes in the middle.

Mitchell will again make a fool of Aitken yet he will still be there. The only way Lomax will get a go is if Aitken gets injured. That is the mentality of our Coach.
Well you might be on the money. Sammy says that Aitken had ice on his hammy in the dressing room after the game. Maybe, just maybe Mary will rest him for the ANZAC Day match.

Sorry don't want him at my house.

I thought you were a true club man Como. You can send him back home in October.
Off to UK and Ireland Monday week until mid June.
I have house and dog sitters organised, maybe they will take care of him.
My border collie will defend the front yard try line and the Lab won’t let EA anywhere near his bone, the ball.
Could work for two months.

Not actually true GS, Papenhuyzen played in Australian Schoolboys team in 2015, same team as Nathan Cleary and Curtis Scott to name a few. However, I agree 100% that Lomax is a far superior prospect, with, as you say, finals experience where he was outstanding. The other point is that Lomax appears to be a more rounded player, with many skills, where as Papenhuyzen hasn't shown anything as yet.

Didn't realize papenhuyzen was Schoolboy rep..thanks for the correction.

Mary won't select Lomax.
He does this.
2016 Lafai was in horrible form/injured.
Game after game after game.
Meanwhile we had Taane Milne tearing it up in reserves. He wouldn't budge, wouldn't make the change. Until 16 weeks had passed!
2017/18 he carries Mann on the bench all year with guys like Herbert killing it in reserves. He does not hook Nightingale for Mann. He does not hook Aitken or Lafai and give Herbert a crack.
Now this year 2019 its Lomax turn.
He is wasting away on a bench.
Will he give him a go when we desperately need his goal kicking?
Hell no he wont. He'll stick with Lafai, back him like he always does.
He'll stick with Ravalawa, he feels he has unearthed a talent that Ricky couldn't see.
He puts his faith in Ravalawa but won't give Lomax a crack. FOR f*$k SAKE!!!
