What a con job these self service checkouts are, why aren’t consumers given a discount for using them, after all we are doing the Supermarkets job

My point is that we are doing their job.Its not the checkouts that are the problem, its the dopes who don't know how to use them.
Supermarkets provide goods to purchase. How they do that is up to them.My point is that we are doing their job.
Yeah that's right they cut cost and you still pay for overpriced products, and your performing their task for them.Supermarkets provide goods to purchase. How they do that is up to them.
Such as the ones that do online shopping for people? My point is to hire more people....
That's right they have people that do that task, Today I went to my local coles in Kirrawee it was busy all self service checkouts where in use, there was only 1 human checkout...I wonder why people use them.Such as the ones that do online shopping for people?
Or the ones that deliver that online shopping?
The world's changing.
The trouble is we cannot get enough people to work for Liquorland and the ones they have hired of late the chimpanzees at the zoo would do 10 times a better job. People are complaining they can't find work but there are plenty of jobs but they don't want to do the mundane job of working in a supermarket or such, its a real catch 22.My point is to hire more people....

Liquorland has been that way for years. No one wants to work at a shit business. Coles Liquor f**ked itself in the face about a decade ago when it decided to sack everyone that knew anything about liquor, hire a new marketing team straight out of uni at half the salary and compete with Uncle Dan's by doing nothing but cheap bundle buys.
Especially First Choice. What a cluster. From getting and equal pick of Bordeaux En Primeur every year to f**king 6 for $36 McWilliams Hanwood in the space of 13 months.
You hate waiting in lines, yet I still wait in line to use a self service checkout.Self-service is the GREATEST thing to happen at supermarkets
I refuse to go to the serviced checkouts because I don't like people, I hate waiting in lines, and they have no idea how to pack a bag.
Self service is WAY quicker, the bag is packed efficiently and how I want it, and I go in and out without talking to a single person.
The argument that self-service destroys jobs is moronic and ignorant.
Plus and more imprortantly
THE ISSUE ISN'T WHETHER THERE IS ENOUGH JOBS FOR PEOPLE, IT IS WHETHER THERE IS ENOUGH PEOPLE FOR THE JOBS.
So my advice to those who hate self service: stop your f*cking whining
