The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Jamaican. But he is definitely British. Born and raised in Yorkshire.

    2023 Origin III - Wed 12 Jul - NSW 24-10 QLD @ Accor

Amazing how good the game becomes when the pressure of winning the series is off.

    2023 Origin III - Wed 12 Jul - NSW 24-10 QLD @ Accor

What an underwhelming snoozy song that was to raise the curtain to Origin 3. Maybe it will have put Qld to sleep

    NRL Salary Cap/CBA -2023 - 2027

The players are holding the sport to ransom. The top players are more than suitably remunerated and I certainly don’t think the players deserve as high a percentage of the sport’s income as they receive.

    NRL Salary Cap/CBA -2023 - 2027

the problem I have is it appears the players are happy to value their players union when it is paid for by the NRL. I wonder how much the top players would value the Union if it was voluntary and paid for as a percentage of all players salaries, similar to taxes. Players are consistently...

    NRL Salary Cap/CBA -2023 - 2027

The players are not the product at all. They are the performers.

    NRL Salary Cap/CBA -2023 - 2027

Has the player performance increased by 80%? If not, then maybe the part of the business responsible should get the bulk of the increase. Players are taking the piss.

    18th club, whose next?

Ok Brian, whatever you say 👍

    18th club, whose next?

They have made extraordinarily more money than that over the past three years and yes it cleared debt, along with cash reserves and large real estate investments, the Sharks are as essential to the competition as much as any other existing club is equally as essential.

    18th club, whose next?

Sharks have plenty of money! Probably one of the most cash rich clubs in Sydney.

T The best bang for buck investment the NRL could offer would be in the Pacific islands, with performance centres based in each

    18th club, whose next?

I I made it very clear, but I will do so again in an isolated point. I want SOO contested by players who want to represent the Kangaroos.

    18th club, whose next?

I am glad you brought up Victor, because he is not eligible for NSW anymore because he has represented a “tier 1” nation. So you are satisfied with some non-Australian representatives being ineligible for SOO and others being eligible simply based on what country they were born in? Don’t play...

    18th club, whose next?

I don’t think it would have any damage. It would only enhance the product with true NSW v Qld fixtures instead of the farcical version we get today. The standard would be anrguably identical. If someone is proud enough to represent another country, that’s great, give them the opportunity to do...

    18th club, whose next?

Have the RFL ever taken responsibility for developing France? Wales, Scotland, Ireland? There is a good argument to say they should, but they haven’t, so you can’t really hold the British to account for that. Not as if the NRL has done anything of relevance to develop Tonga, Fiji or Samoa, so...

Strange stance to take? Surely having a strong and viable SL is very valuable to the NRL? I mean, why do you class it as supporting the RFL? It’s the international game for heaven sake. Lose England, the international game irreparably shrinks to the South Pacific only.

Why would that make Origin a second rate spectacle?

They went to Denver in the middle of the year. England are craving for footy. Give them annual three week slot, they will be here with bells on. Then SOO eligibility needs to change to Australian players only (like it bloody should be). It’s not hard if you put even just 14 seconds of thought...
