    SBW is a freak in League, but union is a very different game... I personally reckong he'd be a ripper at number 8 if he put on a tad more bulk, but he'd never be able to shoulder charge again and thats half his draw... He'd also need to get a bit fitter, because while the backs often get a rest...

    I'm with you mate! I got digital last year because of the NRL, but other than the sports everything else on Foxtel is f**ken shit house! Theres no way in hell I'd pay an extra 40 bucks a month if I was still being forced to pay for all their shit channells that display american crap!

    I rate the ESL, I've watched every challenge cup final for the past 3 years and watch a game or 2 of ESL a week! Most aussie think it's a decent comp... we just think ours is better.

    Technically the SOO doesn't show the very best of the NRL though, top players like Vangana, SB Williams aren't elligable... It's just that the Australian born players tend to be at the top of the crop anyway.

    In 10 years nobody will care just like today! The format of the thing has to be changed! I say make it a 3 match series like the SOO and alternate countries each year! If they don't change it, well coaches like Folk's will keep saying the match is of little importance in the scheme of the season.

    Anyway you look at it though, the NRL supports 16 teams with a high amount of decent through the top 8 and a decent amount of deapth through the rest of the comp... the ESL struggles to maintain 12 teams with any sort of deapth and resort to importing has-beens from Aus and NZ...     Internationaly Rugby League doesn't get much attention here either mate, and we've been winning that for longer than most people can remember! It's international union, something we have nothing close to a firm domination of, that generates interest... There goes that theory!
