Wayne Bennett, the greatest coach ever

I agree that he is a very astute coach, however I would like to see him with a struggling club to see if he could turn them around. Even Jack Gibson couldn't get Cronulla to a title, I think it would be interesting to see him with a side that doesn't have a squad full of rep players. Don't get...

    Further Expansion

I think they should be looking at bringing a side back to the Wide Bay (Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Bundaberg and surrounding areas like Kingaroy, Eidsvold, Cherbourg) as it is a great rugby league breeding ground, yet seems to be ignored. The AFL has been putting a lot of money into the area over...

Barrett, Kimmorley, Cronk, Orford, Sherwin, Mullen?

I still think Scott Dureau could be a good option, he has a more than handy kicking game which we are lacking and would not cost the dollars that a Kimmorley or Orford would command.

    2009 Melbourne Cup Thread

I usually like betting on the earlier races better than the Cup as the odds are usually a lot better than normal days due to the amount of money being bet. I'm still leaning towards Alcopop and Daffodil, and am going to box them up with Crime Scene who should be leading most of the way...

    2009 Melbourne Cup Thread

Everyone will be talking about Viewed and his run, but if you get a chance to watch the race again, keep an eye on the old grey Newport as his run was blistering and has gone hugely unnoticed.

He finished off well last start, looks like the distance will suit tomorrow and hopefully it isn't too wet.

I've had a lash at Mahler and taken it with On A Jeune, Master O'Reilly and Zipping plus mucked around a bit with the 2,3,4,16 and 23 with the others in some exotics.

    Lismore updates

Preston Campbell, fitness and Faáoso were the telling factors in the last 10 minutes. I was lucky enough to be staying next door to Scott Prince's cousin and both Prince and Laffranchi came and had a chat after the game with us back at our hotel. They said the Eels were absolutely out on their...

    Titans team for Lismore trial

Mathers is out for this game due to either injury or illness, I did remember reading it somewhere that there were only 3 of their squad unavailable for the clash. Personally I do see the Titans struggling this season, as I don't think there are enough established first graders in their squad...
