    The Menzies Plan

Another great idea, but again everyone is coming up with ideas that give more money to the players, and no one can say where the money is going to come from??? With 400 players in the top squads, say 100 of them reach a 50 game milestone each year, that is $2.5m that needs to come from...

    What's doing Manly?

Matt Orford is an absolute imposter and simply goes missing in big games. If it was not for Monaghan, they would have had no guidance today. This is the reason that they will not win the premiership, because they cannot put 3 consistent games together.

The Salary Cap Is Not Fair

Danish you got in just before me. Also forgot Adrian Morley as another lost to Salary cap

The Salary Cap Is Not Fair

Why is it that there is only whinging about the salary cap when it comes to the Bulldogs losing players?? From the Roosters period of 2000 - 2003, we have lost the following players due to Salary cap:- Matt Sing Adrian Lam Peter Cusack Shannon Hegarty Ryan Cross David Kidwell Brett Finch...

    State of Origin tickets

What happened to season ticket holders getting a head start on buying SOO tickets?? Opened the paper today to see the ad for tickets, and have heard nothing about it up until then?? Did any other season ticket holders get advance notice of this, or has this not been done this year?

Who should be added to the train-on squad?

Do players have to be in the train on squad to play in the PM X1 game?? if they do, then I would not be surprised to Hayne added to the squad to play on 1 wing and Merritt on the other.

    Central Coast Roosters

I am a roosters fan of 30 years, and will follow them no matter where they play (I currently live on the coast and travel down each home game as a season ticket holder). There will always be a team playing out of Aussie stadium, but I agree that their is not enough room for both teams in a...

souths playing out of "redfern stadium" in the near future?

The NRL has said on numerous occasions that it definitely will not be happening, Sydney City council has said on numerous occasions that it definitely will not be happening, and the only person that continues to spruik this genius idea is George Piggins who still thinks we are living in the 70's...

souths playing out of "redfern stadium" in the near future?

Unless I am reading this wrong, it says the ground will be their home (as in headquarters) and training ground. Does not say HOME GROUND.

    Morley: Time To f**k Off

I have always been a Morley supporter (my wife loves him and that allows me to get season passes). Nothing can be said about this incident. He did the crime, and will have to cop whatever punishment is handed out. No argument from me. Roosters supporters will remember him for the 110%...

    Willie's Weekly Column

You are fair dinkum kidding. The Roosters team of 2001 - 2003 included the following players:- Hegarty, Mini, Cross, Wing, Crocker, Flannery, Cusack, Fletcher, Jason Cayless, Finch, & even Hodges. All of these players either came through our lower grades or rejects from other clubs (cayless...

    Willie's Weekly Column

Time for Willie to get back on the medication!! Maybe if he didn't shop himself around to the highest bidder last year, then the dirty dogs might have some cash left under the cap to keep some of these players. I agree with him that the salary cap is a joke, but they are the rules at the...

Delays to restarts for more ads!!!

Can't believe that this has not happened sooner. We all whinge about not having enough live footy, well this is a way that we can have live footy on FTA, but the guys paying the big bucks for the rights can actually recoup some of this money without having to cut away during live action (i.e...

2005 Grand Final - Spoilers & Live Updates

Matt Bowen has got to be the biggest cat of a fullback in the competition. He simply will not run the ball back when it is kicked to him. He will always run towards the wing and pass it off. When it comes to glory moments in the opposition 20, he always runs the ball and will not pass it...

Should Knights release Carney for GB

If we want to get serious about the international game, have the test between GB & NZ in the same week as 1 of the SOO games, and give 4 teams a bye the week before (as will happen from next year). This will satisfy most clubs. As for GB teams not releasing players for the AUS v NZ games...

What a great tackle by Beaver!

In both cases the player being hit stepped into the tackle, but Beaver definitely made contact with the head even though it was totally unintentional. Only difference is that Morly hit a pussy named Walker who is soft.

Who should be the Australian fullback?

I agree that Bowen should be the utility player off the bench. He can cover 5/8 as well as the back line. Bedsy should be able to play full 80 minutes and if he needs a break, then Bowen can come in for a quick dart.

What a great tackle by Beaver!

I agree, but with Morley charged for basically the exact same tackle, it will be interesting to see what the joke of a judiciary comes up with tomorrow.

    Telstra Premiership Round 7

Should be another huge crowd on ANZAC day for the Roosters v Dragons. Unfortunately tickets don't go on sale for another fortnight according to Dragons management???
