    AMNRL merges with union entity

http://www.amnrl.com/node/391 It seemed the AMNRL always flirted with considering both codes as one, based on many of their facebook posts. This is just a bit weird. Cue outrage, I guess.

Daily Telecrap at their lowest - Rugby league is not a sport, it's an atrocity

The part about RL's footprint reeked of Planet Rugby and The Roar.

    Power Play for NRL

If the rule is closely emulating hockey, then yes.

Who believes that RL can be the number 1 sport in the world?

Where the hell did I compare it to soccer? Read that first sentence again, or get someone to help you. Just putting things in perspective.

    "American Rugby"?

It seems England is a tough market for any non-soccer sport if even League Two runts are getting high and mighty.

Who believes that RL can be the number 1 sport in the world?

Gridiron is the undisputed #1 sport, played at both the pro and college levels, in a country of 312 million. That's roughly equal to the combined populations of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina, Italy, France and the entire British Isles. Again, it depends on the criteria measured...

New MLS stadium in California to be used for RL

Oops, sorry: http://issuu.com/sjearthquakes/docs/newstadium/16 Mostly soccer images, of course. It'll seat 18K plus standing room at one end (with a bar). Due to open in 2013.

New MLS stadium in California to be used for RL

I stumbled upon this as a soccer fan, since our local side is finally getting its own stadium. Anyway, the club just unveiled the field-level luxury suites and all the features are shown in an online brochure. Among it all is a list of non-MLS sporting events that will take place at the stadium...

This is getting out of hand

Reserving contract negotiations for the off-season is really not as hard as you make it out to be. Any sudden disruption via personnel changes is a very minor concern against the dual allegiances posed under the current system. Simply expecting Maloney to try hard for the Warriors in a game...

Time the RFL returned Great Britain

I cited actual precedent, not simply antiquated notions of what is or isn't a country. And your point about Wales (one I conceded by not mentioning them in the same regard as Scotland) only serves to make the situations appear more similar. Fair enough, but civilized discourse on RL matters is...

Time the RFL returned Great Britain

There's no comparison? Why did NSW play New Zealand before the Kangaroos did? Queensland did the same in 1925, even after competing as part of Australia. Meanwhile, Wales is just starting to produce RL players (not converts) and Scotland didn't even play an international match until 1995. Not...

This is getting out of hand

It's a joke that a player could play a single game for one team while having a future contracted elsewhere. The length of time is not the issue.

Time the RFL returned Great Britain

Since you ripped me for advocating two other sub-national entities competing at international level, I find it odd that you are so vehemently opposed to the idea of a GB team. Maybe you think it should be properly named "United Kingdom?"

    "American Rugby"?

Rules vary slightly in both the NHL and NBA from their respective international games, but that doesn't create a great disadvantage or discredit the leagues at all.
