    Round 13 v Tigers

I agree. The selected Tigers team has to be one of the weakest looking lineups I've ever seen in the NRL. Its payback time for our loss to them earlier in the season. We should smash them by 20+ points.

    Foster?

Looks like a player with potential. Just not sure where his future lies. He played halfback for Tonga...but now hooker for Windsor.

    Is Cleary a dud?

I always thought that this was 1 factor going in our favour this season. Usually a desperate player is a good player. Having said that, most of our new signings (on good secure contracts) have been playing out of their skins also. Its taken a while, but I think that its all starting to fall...

    Luke Walsh 11/11

I gotta a feeling that Walsh's UK deal might already be done (these things get often organised a long way in advance), and the pressure release that has come with that possibly explains Walsh's new found form and confidence. Having John next to him, as well as a very dominant pack of forwards...

    Injuries a blessing?

. Very true! I hope his injury the other night isn't too serious. I am happy for Roberts to get an opportunity to show what he can do. But perhaps Cleary should think about putting Brown back into the centres to smash Idris when we play the Titans again in a few weeks time.

A team to be proud of

Defence is mainly about attitude and commitment. And the attitude certainly seems spot on right now. Every player is playing his part. Its hard to pick out individuals, but you gotta love what happens every time someone is stupid enough to run at Plum or Docker.... Kingston's 60 tackles per...

    Injuries a blessing?

LOL. Dont worry Grafton Panther. It took me a while to figure it out too a few weeks ago...:o. Just 1 more point I'd like to mention about Lewis Brown. He came to the Panthers with a stated intention to cement a spot in the backrow (that would be my 1st preference also), but desperate times...

    Injuries a blessing?

So you dont think that Brown's move into the centres has improved our team performance...even just a little bit?? No, I guess it must just be some kind of divine intervention which is making the team play better lately, huh? Funny how it has just coincided with a few positional changes...

    Injuries a blessing?

Fair enough Chris. We have a bit of a different opinion about Brown. Thats what this forum is for. All I can say though, is that if the Warriors supporters were frustrated in 2011 (when they made the grandfinal)...how the hell are they feeling now????....:lol::lol:. They could be in...

    Injuries a blessing?

I'm a bit confused (actually quite a lot!) by that statement Chris...:?. Can you please explain? Didn't Cleary take the Warriors to the grandfinal in 2011....with Brown playing in the centres??? If Cleary is going to get us to the grandfinal (or even just the semis), then I couldn't care...

    Round 10 v Warriors

In the 25 or so minutes that Masoe was on the field, he had an absolute blinder. I heard the commentator say that he was up to 17 hit-ups...and all of them were great hard runs. He will be staying on the bench.

    Injuries a blessing?

Austin could be a possibility. Better suited to 5/8, but i think he could do the job in the centres. He is injured though. So that leaves Roberts. he has the chance to grab the spot in the next few weeks....if he is good enough. I'm just saying that we should not move Brown from there, without a...

    Injuries a blessing?

Yes. Please dont anybody mention Naiqama, Daniela or Tighe as possible centre replacements for Brown.... Or I might throw up. Mansour is a winger. I doubt he would be any good in the centres. I doubt that Jennings or Satini are ready. That leaves just Roberts as a possibility. And he has...

    Injuries a blessing?

Scoring tries didn't seem to be a problem last night. How many do you want?.... I'm not saying that we should keep Brown in the centres forever. But I also think that making changes after we beat the best team in the comp and demolished the Warriors doesn't seem like a very good idea...

    Injuries a blessing?

Roberts, Satini or Jennings?? Yep, they have potential. Are they all ready to play 1st grade (in the centres) this year? They are all a bit on the small side. How will they cope with the likes of Idris running at them for 80 minutes? I got my doubts.

    Injuries a blessing?

We have centres? Who? I still have memories (or should I say nightmares) about what was going on out wide a few weeks ago. I have no problem with moving Brown back to the forwards....but I will need a better reason than saying that Brown is a better backrower than a centre. Find me someone who...

    Round 10 v Warriors

Yep, spot on about Docker. His hit-ups were outstanding last night. Couple of his missed tackles might have been due to him seeing stars for a while, after he came off 2nd best in a big collision in the 2nd half (that was one of the missed tackles). I dont know how he got up so quick after it...

    Injuries a blessing?

I actually like both our centres now. Brown had a blinder there last night too. I dont know why a lot of people on here are so keen to move him back to the forwards asap. We got plenty of forwards. Not as many quality centres though. I say dont fix what aint broke.

    Rumoured and Confirmed Signings

....Good point. But what about John's good debut performance against the champions (coached by Bellamy) the previous week?? You cant ignore that one. He looks like a damn good player. Seems to have all the skills. So he is ahead of the majority. Time will tell if he can do it week in...

    Round 10 v Warriors

Great night to be a Panther's fan!..:D. Superb effort from all 17 players. I dont want to jinx things, but it all seems to be coming together well. Important game against the Dragons coming up next week.
