    Injuries a blessing?

What about Whare? He was a joke as a fullback. As a centre he looks like a champion. I remember most of the forum calling for this positional move about 4 weeks before it finally happened. And it only happened because of injury to Naiqama. I wonder how long it would have taken had the injury/ies...

    Injuries a blessing?

No doubt that injuries have been a blessing for us. It took a few weeks too long, but finally we have a proper fullback, 2 centres who can tackle, decent 5/8 and a tough pack of forwards. And thank god, no Naiqama or Ciraldo to be seen. Cleary now looks like a genius...:D. The one injury which...

Round 7 vs. Tigers Discussion + Voting

Is that what they call cutting your nose off to spite your face??...:D. I think the only lesson I'm going to learn is that backing the Broncos to make the semis (at 3.00 odds), is a profitable play...year in, year out. Besides, since I've been betting on sports for about the last 20 years...

Round 7 vs. Tigers Discussion + Voting

I'll settle for 30 points and a top 8 spot for the Broncos this season. Thats all I need to win a fair amount of $$$, after jumping on the 3.00 odds (for the top 8) couple of weeks back. I'm a Panthers fan...but those odds were ridiculous...and money is money...:D. Broncos never miss the semis...

    Round 7 vs Parra

Famous last words??.... Hope you are right. After having so much hope for a good season a couple of months back, the fact is that this is a must-win game. If we lose this, then we will become raging hot favourites for the wooden spoon.

The Moylan for 1st grade thread

After Naiqama (and his abysmal defence), I'm more than happy to see Brown in the centres...for this week anyway.

    Promised improvement ?

Good start. In my book McKendry, Grant, Docker and Whare (not as fullback though!) can stay also. Plus Latimore and Roberts come in when they recover from their injuries. Time to trial some unbeaten Windsor and U21's players in the remaining positions. What have we got to lose?

Round 5 - What team would you run with?

It took a bit too long, but we finally got what most people on here wanted (Walsh out/Austin in). I've never seen this forum so happy...:D. Hopefully a couple more players in 1st grade will see Walsh's sacking as a warning to them also.

    Windsor 2013

Glad to see sanity prevail. Welcome to 1st grade Austin! Hopefully the next 3 or 4 matches will prove this to be a good move.

Team for Cowboys game - Walsh dropped, Austin in.

Hallelua!....:D. Couple of weeks late. But better late than never I guess. Tough intro for Austin coming up though. JT and fired up Cowboys up in Townsville.

    Windsor 2013

One thing seemed very clear to me today. Austin is way too good for reserve grade (NSW Cup). Apart from his strong defence and goal kicking abilities, he looked threatening every time he touched the ball. Half breaks, putting players into gaps...etc. He wont be playing reserves for long. If we...

    Windsor 2013

24 ALL. Probably a fitting result. Despite getting the ball knocked out of his hand when just about to go over for a try, Austin certainly put his hand up again for a 1st grade call-up. Backed up Moylan for a good try, looked dangerous with the ball, put Cherrington through a big gap which...

Round 5 - What team would you run with?

Docker as prop?? I dont see him as prop. Too small. I have him in the 2nd row or on the bench. No Ciraldo or Smith for me either.

    Vs Titans

Humble and Segeyaro had a great game (not for the 1st time). But some of the other performances had me reaching for the vomit bag....:x.

I went today. But its probably gonna be a while before I go again after that performance!...:o.

Round 5 - What team would you run with?

The more I think about it, the more I come to the conclusion that Walsh has to go. Have a look at his "contribution" today. 1) Goes for his 1st run in weeks. Gets over the try line, and forgets to hold on to the ball. 2) Throws a beautiful pass for a try....unfortunately it was behind his own...

    Windsor 2013

I will definitely be watching. Keen to see how Austin goes again at 5/8. Surely he must be only 1 more good performance away from a start in 1st grade.

Round 5 - What team would you run with?

I like that idea! Dumping the team captain is a big call...but desperate times call for desperate measures. Robinson deserves a shot in 1st grade, and it will make our pack bigger. Austin to come in at 5/8. Humble has to stay in the team (either as fullback or halfback). If as fullback, Whare...

    So who's going??

I'll be there (using my 4 sunday games membership). But unfortunately I'm also bringing a Souths fan with me...:o.
