    You can't invent passion like NSW tried to before the match. You either have it or you don't. Not one NSW player made a statement of intent in the opening 10 mins - Hindmarsh, Ryan, Kite, Mason, et al, all powder puff. They do care about the result, but just not enough. 3-0 Queensland.

    Menzies and Creagh - proper athletic, running back-rowers. Not enough of these players imo. Too many Hindmarsh's, Ryans's, etc. Just slow and not very mobile.

    The All Things Darren Lockyer Thread.....

    Lockyer's a very good player at 5/8th, in amongst the Walters, Florimos, of the world. There is no way he's as good as Lewis, Kenny,Fulton or Daley at stand-off though. A brilliant running fullback, that's what D Lockyer is. Does not have the skill or defence to be a great 5/8th.
