Lions crowd avg was highest last year than for over a decade, so much for the Dolphins taking their fans!
Didn't lions get more at the weekend than the Dolphins got?
Hmm Brisbane3 clearly not worth the effort if AFL impact is your motivation.
Lions got 33,367.

Dolphins got 32,788.

Only in your f**ked up head is 32,788 in Brisbane "bad". It was about 10-12k better than what the Storm got on Friday. Dolphins aren't setting the world on fire on the pitch. Lions made the grand final last year.

You would prefer to have 10-15k in Perth than 32k in Brisbane. Enough said.

haha so despite your claims Dolphins have made buckleys impact on Lions, even worse they arent even as well supported. Brisbane3? no thanks.

Bit of a sht city really, I can see why they dont get many sports events in Brisbane. When they do get one they cant even build a suitable stadium for it lol.

Name one rugby league stadium in England that's better than Lang Park?

I'm talking rugby league stadia that has a 100 x 68 m playing field and proper in-goals. Not a soccer stadium that has to shorten the length of the playing field and play with 6m in-goals with no protection for the players.

IOC said Gabba is fine. Not having to build new stadia is why they awarded Brisbane the 2032 Olympics.

Perth cannot afford to host the Commonwealth Games. Enough said.

9k in a city of 250k, Broncos 30k in a city of 2.5million, hmmm which city supports its club better I wonder

Wouldn't that mean Sutherland supports rugby league more than the druggies from Hull who have fewer teeth than Rabbitohs fans?

Sutherland is smaller, yet the Sharks draw bigger crowds than Hull KR.

Suncorp is a multi use stadium, like Wembley or Tottenham. Won the Olympics, cant build the best facilities for it. Im sure theres questioning if Brisbane was a good choice. If they do nothing to the Gabba it will be the smallest olympic stadium for 100 years!

If you ignore that Hull has 2 SL clubs and has a combined RL attendance avg of around 20k, sure. And ignore that it also has a soccer club drawing 24k.
Stupid is as stupid types lol

When the Lions were struggling on the field they were pulling about 20-25k to their games.

32k at Lang Park for an underperforming Dolphins is better than 10k at PRS for a Perth team that no one wants.

Why do you keep on comparing the Gabba to previous Olympics?

The IOC selected Brisbane because it suits their reduced cost bidding model for future Olympics. The extravagant spending on large stadia that turned into white elephants put cities off bidding for the event. IOC acknowledged this and changed its formula to reduce the cost of hosting the event.

All you're accomplishing with your irrelevant focus on stadium size is exposing your ignorance about the IOC's new strategy.

If you're going to make comments like this then don't whinge when people say Brisbane 3 will harm the Lions. You're saying the Storm have more competition to contend with, yet whenever anyone says we should create more competition for the Lions you and the Soapdodger say it hasn't stopped the Swans. Neither of you are consistent with your logic.
@mongoose no coming back from this lmao

It'll be an embarrassment for Australia to have the Olympics hosted here in a stadium the likes of which not seen since 1922! Maybe Albo needs to step in to fix this Brisbane mess.

Cant beat the lions for a qlnd derby. Hmmm. Brisbane3 looking even less likely.

Just like your dumb IOC argument, you haven't throught this through.

V'landys brought in the Dolphins when the Broncos were struggling because the ARLC needs the game to be strong in Brisbane. He spoke about the game needing to counter AwFuL's inclusions in SEQ. By going on about the Lions drawing 33k vs the Dolphins 32k all you're doing is building the case for a third Brisbane team.

You do realise that if it comes down to attendances then Perth has no chance of beating Brisbane 3 for a licence, right?

So Brisbane2 made zero difference, but Brisbane3 will? Im sure theres some logic to your argument Im failing to see?

Using your logic, which changes to suit whatever you're trying to argue, Lang Park has a combined RL attendance of 68k.

Why are you bringing up a soccer club's attendance?

All it does is highlight the stupidity of having two RL teams in Hull. The combined attendance of those two RL clubs is lower than one soccer club!

No difference?

The Dolphins averaged 33k at Lang Park vs the Lions' 27k at the Gabba in 2023 you dickhead.

Dolphins struggled on the field. Lions finished second and were grand finalists.

Eagles lost 10k fans when they had a poor season.
