Will be interesting to see the crowd at Canberra Stadium tonight. AFL at Manuka this afternoon got 14,308 (which is about as much as the ground would hold).

I doubt it makes much difference to the crowd - its here often enough to be over the novelty factor. AFL's always had a decent following here - Canberra was probably more AFL leaning than RL before the Raiders came along.

What can we read into a 14-thou Fumbleball crowd at Manuka these days though? Especially after the huge embarrassment a number of years back were only 3,000 of the 12,000 crowd payed their way into the ground :lol:

This is the only match played at Manuka this year (apart from a pre season cup game which drew 3,000). There was a large number of free tickets given out for the game today.

Yes and no. Canberra should be playing 85% of their games in the afternoon - it is a no brainer.
